为什么达罗捷派能够获得这么多海外名校的offer?
大概是因为我们的学生认真的做好每一天的事情。
Should schools be fully student centered?
Should students have complete freedom of authority in school life?
How should rules and freedoms be divided in school life?
People are a product of their environment. Allowing students to be in a free and autonomous environment can open up their minds and help them to expand their imagination, but freedom is not the same as indulgence. Like a kite, as long as the string is there, it can fly with the wind when there is a breeze, and it can also fly with the power of the string when there is no wind. However, once the string is broken, the kite may seem to be free, but without a string, it can only fly for a limited distance, and fall down unavoidably.
For students, the campus stipulates is the boundary, as long as they doesn't go beyond this boundary, they are free to practice their own ideas. For the kite, the length of the string is the boundary of its freedom. Freedom without boundaries is like a kite with a broken string, without a foundation to fly on, it will eventually lose its way.
01 Understanding the rules for better self realization
A supportive community based on reliable relationships and fostering a sense of belonging
A campus environment based on providing students and teachers with a sense of physical and emotional security
Based on the importance of student and faculty input in the decision-making process
It is clear to all JPED staff that in order to build a school that can adopt new strategies, provide innovative support, build a positive school community; a school that all staff, students and parents can feel safe, we need to provide adequate educational guidance on students’ behavior and implement behavioral education planning.
Behavioral education program is driven by the need to provide 'education', the core element of a lesson plan should be designed to support the social, emotional and academic development of each student. We know that behavioral education is a complex work that takes place in a wide range of environment settings, including classrooms, canteens, buses, campus, and even offices and auditoriums. Whether it is a student, family member, community member or staff member, we are all responsible to embody our beliefs, expectations and commitments.
▲Four foundation behaviors
Culturally adapted teaching
Culturally responsive teaching focuses on creating the classroom conditions so we can teach advanced cognitive skills to individual student. It requires us to recognize the cultural assets that students bring to the classroom. It also requires building strong, trusting relationships between teachers and students, paving the way for students to engage in the 'productive struggle' of learning.
The mentorship system at JPED Academy helps to establish a strong bond between teachers and students, building an initial identification and initial understanding between them in the form of mutual selection. Students and mentors will select each other at the beginning of the academic year to finalize their choice of mentor for the semester.
▲JPED Instructor Class Setup
The mentoring system helps students to put in their best efforts and achieve the most in their academic endeavors. Learning progress is driven by targeted encouragement, ongoing discussion and progress assessment. Mentors at JPED Academy are also their teachers who understand each student's individual learning strengths and needs, environmental preferences, language barriers, personal learning journey and long-term goals, and develop a personal plan for each student's growth.
Restorative justice
The tenets of the Behavioral Education Program lie in the implementation of the principles of restorative justice. Central to this model is the development of a mindset which we believe that all people are intrinsically valuable and want to build strong connections with others. Within the framework of restorative justice, schools are supported by resources that include the practical implementation of restorative action.
As a small but beautiful international school, JPED aims to enhance the overall development of students in a variety of educational methods. Student councils and grade representatives are organized and selected by the students themselves. It is an effective way to train students, school will provide positive guidance and support during the process. Through their participation in the day-to-day management of the school, students will be able to better understand the logic behind the school's rules and act as a link between the school and their peers.

The final selection of the Student Council and Year Representative was confirmed through a campaign in the form of speech. Throughout the process, students were constantly considering about what I could do for the community.

Throughout the selection process, students emphasized their deep feelings to the JPED community, their desire to join, their motive to participate and their hope to contribute in order to make JPED much more better through their efforts became the theme of the campaign.
Social Emotional Learning (SEL)
Students will achieve the most when we focus on both their academic and social emotional learning demands. Students' needs are various, social-emotional learning must be multifaceted.
In line with studies published by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), JPED recognizes that social and emotional management skills are essential in order for students to cope with this great time. This is why JPED Academy has conducted a study about who I am and where I want to go through in-school and out-of-school placements. Where do I want to go? How will I get there? to further explore and clarify their future direction and goals.
▲JPED Internship Student Profile
The JPED Academy CO-OP PROGRAM CENTER Internship Program is built for an initiative to help our students explore their careers by providing them with a better platform for internship practice. As the first internship program initiated by students, the members of the program help students who want to use their holiday time wisely and get involved in different jobs to enrich their experience and exposure through real-life internships.

The project team members conducted a comprehensive analysis through research that combined with the future professional orientation and interests of JPED students. The project team members conducted a comprehensive analysis of JPED students' future professional orientation, interests and hobbies through the research. The project team used JPED students' future career development ideas as the demand-oriented job links, and conducted internship job links in three ways, in an attempt to help students understand the career profile, determine career goals, explore career potential and develop professionalism.
More and more students are applying for internship practice activities in this new semester, and hoping to explore their future career planning initially through a real internship either on or off campus.
Positive Behavioral Interventions and Support (PBIS): A generic system
The Positive Behavioral Intervention and Support System (PBIS) is a universal system framework that applies to all students within JPED Academy. We will identify applicable behavioral expectations, plan fun and interactive lessons, and enhance feedback and assessment mechanisms to help improve students’ performance and enhance the atmosphere of our school.
PBIS also incorporates social-emotional learning to help students acquire the necessary skills to succeed in school and also other areas. This framework combines all core practices into one passable system. Its key components include establishing clear expectations, conducting data analysis, setting up effective teaching and modeling mechanisms, assessing the recognition of appropriate behavior and using interventions, providing additional support as needed.
JPED Academy uses the online system-Engage to communicate closely with students and parents. Each student and parent holds an account on the online system. Teachers upload the student's course content, attendance, course marks, school performance, etc. Parents and students view the student's performance through the system and communicate with teachers in detail through the online system.
The JPED grade Leaders are responsible for tracking and providing feedback on students’ study. The Head of Grade establishes close links with parents, provides feedback on student study performance on a regular basis and intervenes promptly to address negative behavior. Additionally, students’ class attendance and academic performance are monitored.
In this process, the focus of teaching is transformed from knowledge delivery to present problems and phenomena and students’ progress. Students will gain not only living and integrated knowledge, but also learn to seek information, integrate knowledge, solve problems, do research, collaborate with others, express and communicate, etc. More importantly, they enhanced their own abilities, literacy and wisdom in the process of solving problems.
02 Personalized development, forming a colorful school life
JPED Academy focuses on the development of each student, created a personalized learning plan, and dedicate to the development of each student's unique characteristics and comprehensive abilities.
Volunteer Activities
The JPED Academy's signature teaching program - Hands to Work, is a community service program that is offered every Wednesday to help students build a positive relationship with the outside world, develop a positive life attitude and values, and develop empathy.
▲Stray animal support activities
Sports activities
As an American school, we place great emphasis on sports activity as they can develop teamwork spirit, sportsmanship, endurance and perseverance, and students can choose a program based on their sporting preferences.
▲JPED Sports Program
Club activities
All the clubs are set up by the students themselves with the support and guidance of the school and teachers. At present, the school has music club, creative club, cooking club, photography club, art club and so on. Students can show their strength and expertise with like-minded schoolmates during weekly club time.
When you step in, you will understand more about what it means to be a 'global citizen'. You will find children with light in their eyes and love in their hearts, who are challenged, innovative and empathetic through various activities and stages.
03 The way to the future is to do well in every single day
Rigorous academic requirements
It has been a custom for JPED Academy to have annual commencement ceremony to recognize those students who have received academic honors and who have made outstanding contributions to the promotion of the school.
▲Outstanding Internship Award Presentation
The school has strict requirement on academic performance, clear and specific requirements for class attendance, class performance, homework and termly tests. The teachers are academically rigorous, high teaching standard, and there is a lot of subject overlap, each subject is attempted to make links with other subjects and integrate academic knowledge. This is a real challenge for the students.
Great attendance, assignments submitted on time, complete reading assignments, actively participate in group work, communication with teacher at all stages, and adjust own learning status to keep up with teaching are all leads to great score. It's really not that hard to earn academic honors. There is no path in life that is taken in vain, and every step counts. As long as you live each day seriously and study each lesson well, you are already one step closer to earning an excellent grade.
Competition guidance
Each semester, the school will introduce students to a number of major international competitions and quality academic resources. Various competitions such as the USAD US Academic Decathlon, IEO International Olympiad in Economics, CTB Global Chinese Innovation Competition, BPA Business All-in-One Challenge and FBLA Future Business Leaders of America Competition have been presented to students.

Progress guidance planning
JPED Academy has a professional team especially designed to help students understand the application process to overseas university and how to prepare documents. Most importantly, we provide professional guidance to help students to identify their future pathways, prepare their applications in an organized and scientific time line and carefully tracking their study progress for each semester.
