Ms. Feng first extended a warm welcome to Mr. Zhu and the experts. She then shared our school promotional video and reviewed the journey of ASJ establishment. She expressed her gratitude to GEPH for their great support and assistance and believed that the series books - “My Home is in China” -laid a solid foundation for ASJ national education curriculum.
Furthermore, Ms Feng introduced ASJ achievements in three main divs: school overview, curriculum features, and campus activities. She pointed out that many school activities have incorporated patriotic themes, for example, ASJ Opening Ceremony in 2021 and Speech Contest with Diocesan Girls’ School (DGS) in 2022. The two events were held under the theme of "My Home is in China." ASJ aims to integrate patriotism into its interdisciplinary programmes, so as to nurture patriotism among Hong Kong and Macao students.
Xiaoyan Bian, Deputy Chief Editor of GEPH, shared a promotional video, which showed the background of GEPH establishment, received honours, the matrix of teaching materials, and its development vision. Besides, regarding the development and promotion of textbooks, Ms. Bian presented the background and advantages, achievements and progress, planning and vision of the construction of textbooks in Hong Kong and Macao. Also, she expressed further research and promotion in the Greater Bay Area (GBA). Ms. Bian believed that GEPH and ASJ shared the same original intention for the GBA and hoped there would be richer and multi-level cooperation in the future.
Mr Zhu praised our school’s outstanding achievements, advanced educational philosophy, and distinctive curriculum. He expressed that GEPH would develop closer ties with ASJ to jointly promote the development of educational integration in the GBA.
Mr. Deng stated that GEPH textbooks provided support for our school, while ASJ teaching practice could also give examples for the textbook improvement and promotion. He hoped to see more in-depth cooperation in teacher training, textbook development and promotion, experts on campus, and study tours, so as to build an international school with Chinese characteristics and promote the exchange and integration of basic education in the GBA.
