湾区暨语 | 献礼紫荆花盛开,ASJ学子大展风采
今年是香港回归26周年。
紫荆花是香港的区花,象征着家庭和睦,团结和美。在香港特别行政区区旗上,有红旗中央配有5颗星的动态紫荆花。其中,红旗代表祖国,紫荆花(香港市花)代表香港,紫荆花红旗体现了香港是祖国不可分割的一部分,也体现了香港在祖国怀抱中兴旺发达的景象。花蕊上的五角星体现了香港人心向祖国;花呈白色表示有别于祖国其它部分的红色,即体现“一国两制”。
每年的四五月份是紫荆花盛花期,作为国内首家港澳子弟学校,广州暨大港澳子弟学校(ASJ)5月份举行了“第二届紫荆花节暨语言文化艺术节”系列活动,期间,学校结合教学活动进行一系列的语言、艺术、文化的比赛和展示,以呈现学生的语言特色、文化底蕴和艺术修为。
5月25-26日,广州暨大港澳子弟学校(ASJ)第二届“紫荆花节”暨“语言文化艺术节”决赛顺利举行。三文两语演讲、英语动画配音、英语书法、英语写作……ASJ学子在本届艺术节上,多方位展示其语言、艺术和文化水平,在友好的竞争中,凸显学子的独特风采,给全校师生带来了一场精彩的视听盛宴。接下来,就让我们一起领略ASJ学子的精彩瞬间。
书法比赛是一场展示孩子们书法才华的盛宴,旨在激发孩子们对书法艺术的热爱,提高他们的艺术素养和审美能力,让同学们感受到书法艺术的无穷魅力。
英语书写比赛可以给学生一个展示自我的舞台,同时检阅学生的书写的基本功,这样比赛活动能进一步激发学生对英语学习的兴趣,引导学生养成良好的书写习惯,使学生重视英语书写和学习。
通过英语作文比赛,促进学生英语水平的全面提高,激发学生学习英语的兴趣,鼓励英语学习成绩优异的学生。确保学校英语教学水平评估中各项指标的落实,帮助学生巩固和拓展基础英语知识和技能,全面提高学生综合英语应用能力,将校内英语教学质量提升到一个新水平。
4月,ASJ小学部语文组木棉杯活动在木棉花盛开的季节,拉开了序幕。在以“两文三语”为指导的教学中,我们鼓励学生在平时的学习中使用粤语,推广繁体字的使用。本次比赛,学生自由选择使用简体字或繁体字参加比赛,我们希望将IB理念中的“全纳政策”贯穿在我们日常的学习和活动中。
本次两文三语演讲比赛,结合我校的办学特色以及我校独有的地理环境,学子以“我看大湾区”为主题,用敏锐的眼光回眸生活的亮点,用灵动的文字、生花的妙笔书写自己对于粤港澳大湾区的所见所闻所感。
学子分别用粤语、普通话、英语介绍三个粤港澳大湾区城市,他们用自己的眼睛发现生活的美,从不同角度分享生活在粤港澳大湾区的感受。通过三文两语演讲比赛,引导学生关注大湾区的发展,进一步了解大湾区的文化。
5月17日,为进一步提升学生语言能力和国际视野,增进内地港澳子弟学校与香港学校之间的交流和学习,在总校长郑景亮先生的带领下,ASJ师生前往中国香港,与香港拔萃女书院(DGS)、拔萃女小学(DGJS)和香港官立嘉道理爵士小学(SEKS)的学生开展以“我看大湾区”为主题的2023紫荆花节——两文三语演讲友谊赛及学术交流活动。
英语动画配音内容比较丰富、多元,而且融合了声音、动画等多元素,对于学生来说具有很强的吸引力和参考价值。
在英语动画配音中,运用的语言十分鲜活,场景更加接近于学生的生活习惯和经验,因而可以通过英语动画配音来拉进学生与电影之间的距离,让他们从动画的世界中感受英语文化,从而提高英语学习的热情。
粤港澳大湾区,洋溢着青春活力,承载着青春梦想,是学子施展抱负的大舞台。紫荆花盛开的季节,ASJ学子怀抱着对粤港澳大湾区的逐梦理想,在教育的滋养中成长。他们不仅是希望和未来,也是建设国家的新鲜血液,将会给粤港澳大湾区带来新的发展机遇。
This year marks the 26th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.
The Bauhinia is the regional flower of Hong Kong, symbolizing family harmony, unity and beauty. On the regional flag of Hong Kong SAR, there is a red flag with a dynamic Bauhinia flower with 5 stars in the center. Among them, the red flag represents the motherland and the Bauhinia (the city flower of Hong Kong) represents Hong Kong. The red flag of Bauhinia reflects that Hong Kong is an inseparable part of the motherland and the sight of Hong Kong prospering in the embrace of the motherland. The five-pointed star on the stamen reflects the heart of Hong Kong people to the motherland; the white color of the flower indicates that it is different from the red color of other parts of the motherland, which reflects "one country, two systems".
As the first school for Hong Kong and Macau children in China, ASJ held the "2nd Bauhinia Festival and Language and Culture Arts Festival" in May, during which the school held a series of language, art and culture competitions and demonstrations in conjunction with teaching activities to present the language characteristics, cultural heritage and artistic skills of the students. The calligraphy competition is a feast to showcase the children's calligraphic talents, aiming to inspire their love for the art of calligraphy, improve their artistic and aesthetic skills, and allow the students to feel the endless charm of the art of calligraphy.
The English writing competition can give students a stage to show themselves and review their basic writing skills. Such a competition can further stimulate students' interest in learning English, guide them to develop good writing habits, and make them pay attention to English writing and learning.
Through the English composition contest, we promote the overall improvement of students' English proficiency, stimulate students' interest in learning English, and encourage students with excellent English learning results. It ensures the implementation of the indicators in the school's English teaching level assessment, helps students consolidate and expand their basic English knowledge and skills, improves their overall English application ability, and raises the quality of English teaching in the school to a new level.
In April, the ASJ Elementary School language group kicked off the Cottonwood Cup at the time of the Kapok season. In the teaching of "Biliteracy and Trilingualism", we encourage students to use Cantonese and promote the use of traditional Chinese characters in their daily learning. In this competition, students were free to choose to use either simplified or traditional Chinese characters, and we hope to incorporate the IB philosophy of "Inclusion Policy" into our daily learning and activities.

In this biliterate and trilingual speech contest, students used the theme of "I see the Greater Bay Area" to look back at the highlights of their lives with a keen eye and write about what they saw and felt about the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area with their dynamic words and beautiful strokes.
The students introduced the three Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area cities in Cantonese, Mandarin and English. They discovered the beauty of life with their own eyes and shared their feelings of living in the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area from different perspectives. Through the trilingual speech contest, students were guided to pay attention to the development of the Greater Bay Area and further understand the culture of the Greater Bay Area.
On May 17, in order to further enhance students' language ability and international perspective, and to enhance the exchange and learning between Hong Kong and Macau children's schools in the Mainland and schools in Hong Kong, under the leadership of Mr. Cheng King Leung, Chief Principal, ASJ teachers and students went to Hong Kong, China, to conduct a friendly exchange program with students from DGS, DGJS and SEKS in Hong Kong with the theme of Themed "I See the Greater Bay Area", the 2023 Bauhinia Festival was a friendly biliterate and trilingual speech competition and academic exchange program.

English animation dubbing is rich and diversified, and it incorporates multiple elements such as sound and animation, which has strong appeal and reference value for students.
In English animation dubbing, the language used is very vivid and the scenes are closer to students' habits and experiences, thus the English animation dubbing can be used to bring students closer to the movie and let them feel the English culture from the world of animation, thus enhancing their enthusiasm for learning English.
Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area, overflowing with youthful vitality and carrying youthful dreams, is a big stage for students to show their ambitions. In the season of Bauhinia blossoms, ASJ students are growing up with their dreams for Guangdong, Hong Kong, Macao and the Greater Bay Area in the nourishment of education. They are not only the hope and future, but also the fresh blood to build the country, which will bring new development opportunities to the Guangdong, Hong Kong and Macao Greater Bay Area.
