With warm sunshine and summer rains, ASJ welcomed a group of new teachers with dreams and passion in the first half of the 2023-2024 school year.

I am Circle Chen, graduated from Nanchang University College of Art and Design, majoring in choreography. Now I am a member of Guangzhou Dancers Association and a director of Zengcheng District Dancers Association. During this period, the programmes choreographed by me have won gold and silver awards in the dance category of the Guangzhou Children's Art Flower Festival, and represented Guangzhou City to participate in the 10th Guangdong Province Children's Art Flower Festival and won the bronze award, and every year I am invited to participate in the Zengcheng District Children's Spring Festival Gala, and have won the honours of excellent organisation, excellent programme and personal advancement.
I firmly believe that dance not only cultivates the beauty of harmony, sense of music, sense of rhythm and coordination of the body, but also cultivates the students' correct aesthetic views and the ability to feel, appreciate and create beauty. "It is my goal to make every class an aesthetic education and an experience of noble moral feelings, and I hope to make achievements in the aesthetic education of dance, to meet the individual development requirements of students and to reflect the concept of education combining the East and the West. From here, I hope to not only achieve my personal professional growth, but also contribute to the development of Guangzhou JIU Hong Kong and Macao Children's School.
I graduated from Jilin Normal University, majoring in Chinese International Education. I have worked as a language teacher and class teacher in a public primary school; I was awarded the honour of Outstanding Class Teacher in the school year, and I am a Chinese teacher in a British International School.
I adhering to the educational philosophy of teaching students according to their aptitude, for each student's different situation to be taught, not limited to the knowledge of the classroom, good at helping students to expand their horizons of learning, from the macro point of view of thinking to explore. At the same time, I also pay attention to the moral education of students, pay attention to the development of students' behavioural habits and mental health education. My teaching style is friendly and humorous, and I am good at communicating with students, as well as being a teacher and a friend.
In my opinion, for students in international schools, we should not only confine ourselves to the acquisition and mastery of written knowledge, but also pay more attention to practice, cultivate students' subjective initiative and inquisitiveness, focus on the improvement of students' comprehensive quality, expand the globalisation vision, and give students diversified training. In the classroom, the teacher should give the lead to the students as much as possible, and the teacher should act as the supervisor and promoter of the process, cultivate the students' independent learning ability and inquiry ability, so that the students can be able to think and solve problems from a higher perspective without being confined by the rules and regulations, and at the same time help the students to enhance the connection between various disciplines, which are interlinked and are a common whole, and promote the synergy and development of society as a whole. My name is LihaoTang. I have five years of experience as a classroom teacher before joining ASJ The courses taught are mainly languages.
My teaching philosophy has always been to inspire students to think, to be a person who knows how to think and can think. I think thinking is one of the most lacking abilities of students nowadays. In today's materialistic world, students can get the answers they want in various ways, but are the answers really so important? But are the answers so important? Not really. It is the process of getting the answers that we will remember for the rest of our lives. This process is thinking.
In order to realise this philosophy, I make good friends with my students in life and inspire them to explore unknown worlds through their perspectives. In the classroom, I am also good at using problems and letting students solve them independently in order to achieve the purpose of thinking.
Acting is the beginning of knowing, and knowing is the beginning of doing. I believe that my students and I will practice this saying together at ASJ, a school of excellence in inclusiveness and innovation. I am confident that we will have an unforgettable time in primary school together.
Hello, I'm Nancy Zhao, I am from Dalian, Liaoning Province, I graduated from Dalian University of Foreign Languages with a Bachelor's Degree in English-Japanese Bilingualism, and postgraduate studies in Educational Linguistics from the Hong Kong University of Education. I taught at Po Leung Kuk Hong Kong Taoist Association Yuen Yuen Primary School for 5 years, and after returning to Guangzhou, I also taught at Excel Education and Cambridgeshire Canadese Foreign Language School. During my teaching career, I have been awarded the title of Outstanding Teacher and Outstanding Subject Leader for many times, and I have also won the Excellence Award in the 2022 "Magic Cup" International School Teachers' Teaching Skills Competition, as well as the Second Prize in the Panyu District Regular Creative Integration and Innovative Application of Teaching Cases.
My teaching philosophy is to "use my sincerity, persistence and love to strike the keyboard of students' wisdom and enlighten their beautiful hearts". In my daily teaching, I hope to give each child the maximum attention and love, focusing on the use of hierarchical teaching and visual thinking tools, leading children to explore the world of language, discovering the unique charm of the language, and opening up the interest in learning the language as well as exposure to and understanding of traditional Chinese culture. In the process of leading the class, I adhere to the principle of "teachers and students share 100 points", give children more space to play, encourage children to think independently, solve problems in life independently, and cultivate children's sense of "self-love and mutual love".
