BKIK IB Culture Week 2026 | 用探究,打开世界的门


Guided by the IB PYP transdisciplinary theme How We Express Ourselves, the week encouraged students, teachers, and parents to explore how people around the world express culture through music, food, dance, art, clothing, sport, and celebrations.
The central idea for the week was: People around the world express their cultures in different ways, and we can learn from them.
本次文化周以IB PYP跨学科主题“我们如何表达自己”(How We Express Ourselves)为引领,鼓励孩子、老师与家长共同探索:世界各地的人们如何通过音乐、食物、舞蹈、艺术、服饰与庆典来表达各自的文化。
本次活动的中心思想是:世界各地的人们以不同的方式表达文化,而我们可以从中相互学习。


Students explored lines of inquiry and developed Approaches to Learning (ATL) skills - communication and research skills - through observing, asking questions, listening, collaborating, and sharing ideas.
孩子们围绕着以下探究线索展开思考,在整个文化周里通过观察、提问、倾听、合作与分享,持续发展IB学习方法(ATL)中的沟通技能与研究技能。


As an IB school, BKIK believes in teaching through inquiry and transdisciplinary learning. The week was designed around three IB key concepts, encouraging students to think deeply about culture, connection, and expression.
作为一所IB学校,我们始终相信:真正的理解,不来自被动接收,而来自主动发现。本次文化周围绕IB三大核心概念进行设计,引导孩子进一步思考文化是什么、文化之间如何相互联结,以及人们又如何以不同方式表达自己。



Seven countries were explored during the week. Each class prepared a unique learning experience connected to one aspect of culture.
本次IB文化周聚焦七个国家,每个班级都围绕文化的某一个方面,准备了各具特色的学习体验。


Pre-K explored the Philippines through dance and art activities, allowing students to express themselves creatively while learning about movement and colour.
小小班的孩子们通过舞蹈与艺术活动探索菲律宾文化,在学习舞蹈动作与色彩的过程中,以富有创意的方式表达自我。





K1A explored Scotland through traditional sports and clothing, helping students compare similarities and differences between cultures.
小一班通过传统运动与服饰探索苏格兰文化,帮助孩子比较不同文化之间的异同。





K1B investigated the USA through football-themed activities that encouraged teamwork and communication skills.
小二班则以美式橄榄球主题活动探索美国文化,在活动中培养孩子的团队合作与沟通能力。





The K2 classes explored culture in highly engaging ways. K2A focused on Australia through Aboriginal-inspired music and art experiences, introducing students to rhythm, creativity, and storytelling through symbols and sound.
中班的文化探索同样生动而富有参与感。
中一班聚焦澳大利亚,通过以原住民文化为灵感的音乐与艺术体验,引导孩子感受节奏、激发创造力,并学习以符号和声音讲述故事。





K2B explored Italy through food experiences, where students learned how food can reflect traditions, family life, and cultural identity.
中二班通过美食体验探索意大利文化,让孩子们了解食物如何折射出传统、家庭生活与文化认同。





K3A's inquiry into Germany led to learners experiencing traditional group dances and hands- on preparation and baking of local treats.
大一班对德国的探究,让孩子们亲身体验了传统集体舞蹈,并动手参与了当地特色点心的制作与烘焙。





K3B explored South Korea and their cultural identity through traditional clothing, shared dancing and culinary experiences.
大二班通过传统服饰、集体舞蹈与美食体验,探索韩国及其文化认同。




Across all classes, the learning experiences were carefully planned to be skill-based, age-appropriate, and inquiry-driven.
纵观所有班级,每一个学习体验都经过精心规划,以技能为导向,符合各年龄段发展特点,并以探究为核心驱动力。

One of the most exciting parts of Culture Week was the classroom rotation system. Over a three-day period, classes visited one another to participate in different cultural experiences.
For example, K2A visited every other classroom across the week, giving students the opportunity to engage with all seven cultures.
文化周最令人期待的环节之一,是历时三天的班级轮转体验。各班相互走访,亲身参与不同国家的文化活动。以中一班为例,他们在这一周内走进了其他班级,接触并体验了七种文化。

This structure encouraged curiosity, communication, and reflection as students compared experiences and asked questions about different traditions and ways of life.
这样的安排鼓励孩子们在体验中保持好奇、进行交流,并在比较不同传统与生活方式的过程中展开反思。


The rotations also strengthened the sense of community across the school, as students learned together beyond their own classrooms.
班级轮转也进一步增强了全校的社区凝聚力,让孩子们的学习不再局限于自己的教室,而是在更广阔的校园空间中共同发生。

Parents also played an important role throughout the week. Families were invited into classrooms to participate in the learning experiences alongside the children, helping to strengthen the home-school partnership.
IB文化周的精彩不止发生在课堂之内。我们邀请家长走进课堂,与孩子们共同参与学习体验。

In addition, our SLT led bilingual parent workshops that explored culture through coffee experiences and inquiry stations. These workshops allowed parents to experience how inquiry-based learning works within the PYP framework.
此外,学校领导团队还带领家长开展了双语工作坊,以咖啡文化体验与探究站为载体,带领家长亲历PYP框架下探究式学习的全过程。



Through interactive teaching stations, parents explored how conceptual learning and ATL skills encourage deeper understanding and meaningful learning.
The workshops helped parents better understand how BKIK moves beyond simple “activities” and instead creates purposeful learning experiences that support curiosity, communication, and critical thinking.
在互动教学站中,家长们亲身感受到:概念性学习与ATL学习技能(涵盖沟通、研究、合作等核心能力),如何帮助孩子构建更深刻的理解,而非停留于表面的活动参与。
这也是我们一贯坚持的教育理念——每一个学习体验,都应当是有目的的、有深度的,而不仅仅是“好玩的活动”。




Epermarket also supported our SLT's event by providing real-life artefacts and information that parents could use to explore inventory and logistics during their learning station inquiry, including practical data handling using coffee as an example.
Epermarket还为我们学校领导团队的活动提供了支持——他们带来了实物展品和相关资料,让家长们在学习站的探究活动中,能够亲身体验和了解库存管理与物流的运作方式,还以咖啡为例,直观地展示了如何进行数据处理。


The students were especially curious about the different foods on offer and enthusiastically asked questions about ingredients, flavours, and where the food came from.
These moments of curiosity and discussion reflected the true spirit of inquiry that Culture Week aimed to promote.
孩子们对各式各样的食物充满好奇,积极询问食材、味道以及食物来自哪里。这些自发涌现的提问与讨论,正是探究精神最自然、最真实的显现。


The week concluded with a fun whole-school assembly and cultural showcase. Each class performed a song or dance connected to the country they had hosted throughout the week.
The performances gave students an opportunity to confidently share their learning with friends, teachers, and parents while celebrating the diversity of cultures explored during the event.
IB文化周以一场全校文化汇演作为收尾。每个班级登台表演了与本班文化主题相关的歌曲或舞蹈,将一周的学习成果以最生动的方式呈现给同学、老师与家长,共同庆祝这场活动中所呈现的多元文化之美。

BKIK’s Culture Week was a wonderful success and a meaningful example of IB learning in action. We would like to thank all students, parents, teachers, staff members, and Epermarket for helping make the week possible.
Through collaboration, inquiry, and shared experiences, our community came together to celebrate diversity, strengthen international mindedness, and create lasting learning experiences for our students.
