【毕业·声】Wode:以沉稳赴热爱,以深耕致远方,机械工程路上的追光者 | IHP国际高中
夏风捎来远方的回音。墨尔本、爱丁堡、曼彻斯特……七封QS前六十名校的录取信,为南国交IHP 2026届 毕业生Wode的三年划上一个安静的句号。而属于他人生的精彩故事才刚刚翻页。
Summer brings good news from abroad. Seven offers from QS Top 60 universities mark a remarkable milestone for Wode, a 2026 graduate from IHP International High School, opening a new chapter of his journey.

他的成绩单并不喧哗,却足够扎实:GPA稳居年级前三,AP微积分BC、统计、物理1、物理C力学、宏观经济学五门全取5分,雅思6.5分率先过关。但比起数字,他更珍视的是某个深夜读懂微积分公式背后逻辑的那一刻——“原来世界可以这样被拆解,又被重新理解。”遇到难解的物理题,他会反复推演直到每个变量都清晰如友;写个人陈述时,他不堆砌荣誉,而是把童年那辆深蓝色本田雅阁带来的悸动、乐高齿轮咬合时的惊叹、在模拟调校中反复优化参数的痴迷,一一化作真诚的叙事。招生官读到的,不是一个“完美申请者”,而是一个对机械世界怀有赤子之心的年轻人。
He maintains a top-three cohort GPA, full 5s in five AP courses and an IELTS 6.5 score. Beyond outstanding grades, he treasures the intellectual breakthrough of decoding academic logic late at night. He iterates repeatedly to solve tough physics problems. In his personal statement, he presented sincere passion for mechanics — sparked by cars, LEGO construction and parameter optimization — impressing admissions officers with his genuine love for engineering, rather than a polished resume.


高一时的迷茫,他没有藏起来,而是坦诚地告诉升学老师:“我喜欢车,喜欢组装,但不确定这能不能成为专业。”老师没有直接给答案,而是带他走进西双版纳雨林,让他观察生态系统的精密耦合;鼓励他动手组装乐高机械组、高达模型,在指尖的装配中体悟连杆与齿轮的语言。渐渐地,他发现自己迷恋的不是车本身,而是“优化复杂系统”的工程哲学。微积分期末项目里,他用速度-时间图像分析两款车型的性能差异——那一刻,兴趣终于落定为一生的志向:机械工程,汽车设计与技术创新。
Open about his early confusion, Wode consulted teachers about his interest in vehicles and assembly. Guided by immersive rainforest field studies and hands-on model building, he discovered his core passion: optimizing complex systems. His calculus project analyzing automotive performance finalized his academic pursuit: Mechanical Engineering with a focus on automotive design and innovation.

行走在雨林的Wode
他说,热爱不是灵光一现,而是一步步走出来的答案。那些看似无关的爱好——拼模型、调参数、记录数据——最终都汇入同一条河流,载着他驶向清晰的方向。
For him, passion is not sudden inspiration, but cumulative progress. His diverse hobbies of modeling, parameter tuning and data analysis gradually converged to shape his clear career direction.

美国得州国际领袖学校

学术之外,Wode的温暖同样沉静而坚定。在西双版纳热带植物园,他举着望远镜记录鸟类栖息轨迹,为雨林保护留下基础数据;在贵州茂兰,他协调20名志愿者,为120名乡村儿童募集500余件文具,站上讲台时他比孩子还紧张,却笑得最真;在岭南特殊教育学校,他陪伴心智障碍青少年读书、画画,和其他志愿者一起改造校园墙壁,让色彩代替言语传递温度。



他说,机械工程师不该只懂钢铁,更要懂人心与自然。雨林教会他,任何系统都要与周遭共生;支教让他明白,真正的“工程”是搭建连接与理解。这些经历不是履历上的点缀,而是他看待世界的另一副透镜。
He believes qualified engineers understand humanity and nature, not just machinery. His experiences taught him that all systems rely on harmonious coexistence, and that engineering ultimately builds connection and understanding, shaping his unique worldview.


回望三年,他从不觉得自己是“学霸”。他只是认真对待每一节课、每一次实验、每一份作业,像儿时对待每一颗乐高积木——不急著搭出成品,而是享受逻辑与美感平衡的过程。这份沉稳,让他从懵懂好奇的小孩,长成手握七份offer、心怀清晰愿景的青年。

即将启程前往大学,他依然谦逊:“认真对待小事,守住热爱,别怕慢,时间会把路铺好。”这不是说给别人听的,是他自己走过的路。愿他在异国的实验室里,继续拆解复杂的机械谜题,也继续保留那份望向雨林、望向孩子、望向远方的温情。沉稳不是沉默,是每一步都踩得踏实;热爱不是喧嚣,是每一次回望都目光澄明。
