"Physical Development身体的发展"作为EYFS7大发展领域之一,也是其中三大首要发展领域之一,在幼儿的成长过程中占据着最为重要的位置。它是其它各方面发展的基础,任何学习活动都离不开肢体的协调配合。另外,身体的发展可以一定程度地反映并促进大脑发育。
"Physical Development", as one of the seven development fields of EYFS, is also one of the three primary development fields, and plays the most important role in the growth of young children. It is the basis for the development of other aspects, and any learning activity cannot be separated from the coordination of the body. It is not equivalent to "sports development" or "body development" in the general sense. 大肌肉运动技能发展
Development of large muscle motor skills
主题开始于绘本故事《从头到脚》,孩子们兴奋地跟着故事模仿起了各种动物的动作。

Teacher Beth lead an animal yoga class, asking students to manipulate their bodies to become that of an animal, practicing deep breathing in the process.

As active learners, children have designed different levels by themselves, and each of them tries to break through them in their own way, receiving constant support and celebrations as they surpass their own goals and create further expectations for themselves, during various time periods.

In addition to the exploration activities carried out according to the theme, sufficient outdoor activity time every day also provides sufficient guarantee for the physical development of children. In outdoor activities, we dissolved class and age restrictions and to give children full freedom to play and interact with everyone, learning how to manage their movements and control with both those younger and older than themselves. The children interacted with the outdoor environment and rich sports materials in their favorite and unique ways,which maximized their subjective initiative, and everyone started a sports superman. . As part of the students personal development, they are taught to listen to their own bodies, what their body is telling us when we feel different sentations; from feeling hot to cold, thirsty and hungry, whether they need to go to the toilet and taking action to satisfy these needs accordingly.
In all kinds of sports, we are "people who are brave to challenge", "people who are broad-minded", "people who are compassionate"... This can help children establish a lifelong attitude towards their bodies and sports, embracing challenges in an environment that is supportive and positive towards growth and development.

In the sports day held in November, the children received glittering medals through our own efforts, which further ignited our enthusiasm for sports and celebrated participation, regardless of the outcome. It’s not winning that’s important, it’s having the confidence to take part that matters.
Part 2
精细动作发展
Fine motor development
身体的发展除了大肌肉运动技能,还包括了精细动作的发展。精细运动技能是全身运动能力的一部分,它依赖于良好的大肌肉运动技能、核心力量以及协调能力,良好的精细动作控制能力能增强孩子的能力,让他们更自信和独立。
The development of the body includes not only the development of large muscle motor skills, but also the development of fine movements. Fine motor skill is a part of the overall motor ability, which depends on good big muscle motor skills, core strength and coordination ability. Good fine motor control ability can enhance children's ability and make them more confident and independent.
A large component of our classroom the students are tasked with daily is independence in a wide variety of tasks, the most recent of which being their ability to collect both morning and afternoon snack themselves. All of K1 welcomed this responsbility with open arms and most importantly an open heart, taking the challenge and even expressing that they themselves want to collect their food as part of a daily routine where teachers are able to stand back, observe and celebrate each and every success on a daily basis.

The environment we created is full of glue, paper, scissors, sequins and other immersive and hands on materials, giving them rich opportunities to develop fine motor skills to celebrate their achievements.

Children create and experiment with materials and textures without restrictions in the art corner, our only expectation is that they are able to clean up after themselves once their piece of art is complete !
Make cookies with clay beads and learning how to dress and undress themselves is a focal point in our students daily development.
