The very first OCAC Christmas camp arrived as scheduled. The clear children's voices of the chorus camp reverberated in the campus. The science and technology innovation camp condensed the children's desire for knowledge, and the bus carried the students on a journey of nature research and learning…….
G1-G2 One Day Nature Exploration Camp
The camp is located in the woods on the Bank of Tai Lake, with beautiful scenery and grassland. Under the teacher's organization and leadership, the children work in groups to build survival shelters, make water purification devices, make and observe plant specimens, learn to make bows and arrows and practice archery skills. Our OCAC children returned to the nature and learnt the survival skills in just a day. In the setting sun, with happiness and fulfillment, all children have completed a small expedition.
children are amazing
Heaven sent, God's little miracles
Naive and curious, motivated to learn
So young and so innocent
G3-G5 Two Day Nature Exploration Camp
G3-G5 students can look after themselves to some extent already, they have participated two-day nature exploration camp, which is more challenging. Many parents mentioned that this is the first time that their children have spent the night alone. They are all worried but also let the children go to the camp bravely. The parents' love for their children is far reaching. All children are very happy, go to places they have never been, meet new friends, learn new knowledge and skills, happiness is always so simple. In these two days, the children learned basic knowledge of Botany and Entomology, made and observed specimens of plants and insects, designed bird houses, did gardening in the forests, and completed a treasure hunt adventure. In just two days, the children quickly established a tacit understanding, cooperated with each other, and took the initiative to share the gifts they received. We will always see the growth of children inadvertently.
If I could touch the sky, I would grab a star and hang it in my bedroom.
If I could touch the sky, I would pull down the moon and use it to light my room
If I could touch the sky, I would catch a cloud and use it for my pillow.
G1-G5 The OCAC Choir Camp
Every child is a little angel. Their smile is warm and their song is healing. They can make you forget all your troubles. Our OCAC little singers took us to the most beautiful place with the wings of songs in just 5 days.
“I came from the mountains, with orchid grass, planted in the garden, hoping to bloom early, three times a day to see the flowers, see the flowers, but the orchid is there, the bud is absent still…”
“Edelweiss, Edelweiss, Every morning you greet me, Small and white, clean and bright, You look happy to meet me….”
Although the camp has ended, the children's songs still reverberate in the teaching building. I can't help but sigh how simple and beautiful childhood is. The OCAC is willing to quietly guard the children to grow up, Dream big, travel far, come back young, in your heart.
G1-G2 STEM Camp
If you want to ask the children of OCAC what cars will look like in the future, they will surely conquer you with their imaginations. In the five days of the STEM Camp, our small campers roamed in the ocean of new energy knowledge every day and creating their own “Green Cars".
Energy conservation and emission reduction, protecting the common home has been a hot topic of social sustainable development. Let the children understand the new energy, the types of new energy, the construction and implementation scenarios of new energy vehicles, and even interact with real cars can better help students understand the importance of new energy for the whole community. When the children finally built a driveable solar powered rally car, they couldn't wait to jump into the cockpit and launch a friendly car racing competition. Maybe, this is the childhood of the future automotive engineers.
G3-G5 Aerospace Camp
This winter may have disappointed you and stopped you from traveling far because of the Covid-19, but it failed to stop our student to exploring the sky. Yes, exploring the sky, this is exactly what our children from Aerospace Camp did during the Xmas holiday. Although the camp only lasted 5 days, our camp children managed find the fun of science while learning valuable knowledge.
Teamwork, group assessments, mini science experiment?
Nope, too simple for standard players.
The little OCAC pilots have been simulating flight missions, designing their own aircraft, making UAVs, and hopping on real helicopters in this camp session.
The camp time flies, there are quarrel and small bumps, yet the students have harvested more: knowledges, happiness and friendship. These students are typical OCAC students as they do not only achieve outstanding academic results but also have the capability to solve problems cooperatively, to complete reflections constantly, and to bring positive impact to the whole community continuously.
G3-G9 Golf Camp
What, you can learn golf on campus?! Correct, Golf Camp is one of the most important camps in this Christmas holiday. The Golf Camp consists two days onsite trainings and one day offsite training, which is the camp with the highest intensity of physical training
On the last day, the children practiced in the Tai Lake golf field. Although the weather is not beautiful, the enthusiasm of the students is still high.
Golf is a traditional sport in the OCAC. The purpose of this camp is to let more entry-level players and golf beginners have a better understanding of golf and stimulate more students' interest in this sport.
