After the workshop, I have a clearer picture of IB concepts throughout the whole unit, and how to design an integrated class under each theme. I also got serval teaching ideas for my class by engaging into the activities.
To go further, I’d like to learn more about teaching IB in the kindergarten ( how to design the learning station, how to manage the kids while let them feel free in the classroom).
I learnt a lot from the two days’ PYP workshop. Because of the workshop, I knew more about what is PYP, what is Transdisciplinary Learning, how can we use the Inquiry Cycle and so on.
And I learnt that the learning environment is the third teacher for students. We should decorate the class well before teaching.
I found the workshop quite useful in the sense that I now have more information about how a successful PYP unit is delivered to the students.
It was nice hearing different perspectives from the rest of the staff at the training.
Through this training, I saw what the real IB is, how we do it, how we think and how we put it into practice. Work hard to become a better person and become a true lifelong learner.
I have gained some new knowledge about “enhancing the PYP” and also more deeper understandings.
The two days workshop was a whole experience of a unit of inquiry which also gave me a lot of inspirations to plan my unit with my students.
