In the final year of the MYP programme, every IB student is required to complete a significant academic assignment - the Personal Project. Self-designed and open-ended, this student-driven project emphasizes 'personal', which provides students with a unique opportunity to explore and inquire on their personal interests, evaluate their academic life or future career choices, conduct research, practice, identify and solve problems, and reflect on themselves, thus extending the depth and breadth of their academic endeavors.
十年级的Lily,三年前从一所传统学校的国际部转学至东华文泽学校(TWIS),成为TWIS创校学生团队的其中一员。将自我浸染于多元化知识的海洋,提升自我驱动力和自我组织能力,是她当初来TWIS的目标之一。在MYP个人设计项目中,她烹饪、拍摄、写作、设计、排版、打样、出品纸质书、线上授课,这长达一个学年的项目不仅帮助了她实现了当初的目标,还以亲身实践来打破“健康食物即沙拉”的偏见,把享受美食的乐趣传递给更多的人。一起来看看她所亲历的项目故事。
Lily joined TWIS three years ago as one of its first students after transferring from a traditional school. Immersing herself in the ocean of diverse knowledge and enhancing her organizational skills was one of her goals when she first came to TWIS. In the MYP personal project, she cooked, photographed, designed, typeset, wrote, produced a paper book, and taught online. This year-long project not only helped her achieve her original goals, but also helped her break the misconception of "healthy food is salad" by her practices, spreading the pleasure of enjoying food to more people.
