又是一年的陪伴与温暖,虎年已进入尾声,我们即将迎来活力四射的兔年,CBIS的各项工作都画上圆满的休止符。我们一起回顾CBIS本年度的大事件,看看每一颗种子,是如何在我们的共同努力下生根发芽,最终结出累累硕果的。

- REVIEW OF THE YEAR 2022 -
OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2ND SEMESTER OF 2021-2022 ACADEMIC YEAR
2月14日,CBIS迎来2021-2022学年第二学期的开学典礼。
本次开学典礼的主题是“春之希冀,逐梦未来”。恰逢元宵佳节,CBIS将新春祝福放进红包,派发给每位CBIS学子。他们开展各种趣味知识问答游戏,分享春节假期的各种美好经历,带上满满的祝福,迎接新学期的征程。
On Feb 14, with the theme of "Start at a Hopeful Spring and Pursue Dreams and the Future", the 2022 2nd semester opening ceremony was held in the performance hall in CBIS.
As the Lantern Festival is approaching, CBIS put the Spring Festival blessing into a red pocket and gave it to every student. They playes some interesting games, shared their wonderful experiences during the Spring Festival and winter vacation. all the students begin their new journey in the new semester with blessings.
5月20日,CBIS模拟联合国大会召开,本次大会的主题为“世界各地的儿童正面临一系列的挑战、风险与机遇”。来自G4的孩子们化身小小外交官,在属于他们的舞台大放异彩。
他们从学生转换为更具全球视野的“国际代表”,看待问题将更多元、更开阔,从而认识不同国家发展中遇到的不同问题及看待问题的不同视角。
On May 20, the CBIS Model United Nations Conference was held with the theme of "Children worldwide encounter a range of challenges, risks and opportunities". Children from G5 became the little diplomats and showed their talents. They have changed from individuals to "international representatives" with more diverse and comprehensive views on issues. Therefore, they can understand the different problems encountered in the development of different countries with broader perspectives.
CBIS PRIMARY READING WEEK
CBIS小学阅读周系列活动在5月底正式启动,老师们根据不同年级段的孩子兴趣需求设计了故事角色装扮、阅读马拉松、诗歌阅读日、品书日、诗歌朗诵比赛等丰富多彩的活动, 以此激发和培养孩子们热爱阅读的品质。
At the reading week, our teachers designed many activities such as "Book Character Dress Up Day", "Read-a-Thon and Poetry Reading Day", "Book Tasting Day" and the "Poetry Recitation Competition", so as to stimulate and cultivate children's quality of reading.
CBIS SECONDARY SCIENCE AND ARTS EXHIBITION
6月10日,CBIS举办中学科学与艺术展,本次科技与艺术展共分为以下部分:G7-G11学生的音乐表演、诗歌社朗诵、拉丁舞表演、戏剧课程表演中的手工文物展览以及14组中学部学生的科技研究成果展示。
本次科艺展促进了CBIS学子对科学和艺术探索,展示了他们的学习者属性,如团队交流和跨学科知识应用。更重要的是,CBIS学子在本次活动中培养了自信、增进了对艺术作品的鉴赏能力与对科学的热情,以及对探究的终生热爱。
CBIS Secondary Science and Arts Exhibition was divided into the following parts: The G7-G11 student music performances, handcrafted works, Latin dance performance, and 14 groups of scientific research outcomes.
The exhibition allowed our students to conduct further research in Science and art and to present their learning outcomes, such as team communication skills and interdisciplinary knowledge. More importantly, the students developed self-confidence, artistic appreciation skills, passion for learning science, and interest in learning inquiry in this event.
今年PYPX毕业展的主题是“共享地球”。这是对与他人和其他生物共享有限资源的斗争中的权利和责任的探究,CBIS的孩子们进行了平等机会、和平与解决冲突的探讨。
G6的学生们创造自己的中心思想,并研究了不同的全球和当地主题。今年更加强调“行动”和“可持续全球目标”,TED讲座和艺术展是学生主观能动性的真实反映,不仅是他们,全校师生在本次结题展示中都受益匪浅。
The theme for this year's PYPX was "Sharing the planet". It was an inquiry into rights and responsibilities in the struggle to share finite resources with other people and with other living things; communities and the relationships within and between them; access to equal opportunities; peace and conflict resolution.
Students created their own central ideas and researched on different global and local themes. This year there was stronger emphasis on "Action" and the "Sustainable Global Goals" and the Ted talks and Art Exhibition were true reflection of student agency.
CNC RAINBOW STREET FINAL EXAM
7月8日,CBIS双语实验部一年级举行“乐考闯关”活动中,孩子们变身为小小买卖家,参与“师生协作”、“随机闯关”、“即时反馈”、“选择消费”、“多元评价”的活动,综合运用与展现在本学期掌握的知识、培养的技能与发展的素养。
In the Game-based Final Exam activity held in G1, the children as small businessmen and participated in the activities teacher-student collaboration, random test, instant feedback, choice of consumption and multiple evaluation , comprehensively applying and demonstrating the knowledge acquired in this semester, the skills cultivated and the competency developed.
7月8日,CBIS国际中学部举行了三方会议。我们的学生、家长和老师坐在一起,共同讨论学生整个学期的学习和生活的情况、他们所取得的成果并分析今后他们作出努力的方向并制定下一阶段目标,帮助他们登上更广阔的舞台。
这种评估模式以孩子为中心,家长不再只是聆听者,在与班主任、任课老师的交流中,他们了解着孩子各方面的表现,并对如何展开家校合作,给予孩子支持有了更清晰地认识,充分体现了CBIS“学习者社区”与“以生为本”的育人理念。
July 8, 2022, our secondary school had its final Three-way Conference for the academic year 2021-2022. Our students, parents, and teachers sat together and discussed the student's learning, with each student taking an equal role. Together we had a conversation about what the students are learning at school, their achievements, and what they can do after this year's learning.
Through the conversations, parents have a better understanding of their child's performance. Furthermore, teachers will suggest how parents can better support at home. As a learning community, it's very important to get parent's involvement in the student's learning process.
9月28日,山语湖的蒙童们迎来了一场意义非凡的活动——开笔礼。古时,开笔礼是人生四大礼之一,是极为隆重的典礼,对每个读书人来讲有着重大的意义,庆贺人生进入学本领 、学做人的新阶段。
开笔礼既能表达为人父母对儿女成材的期望,也让孩子们在开笔仪式中继承勤学苦读、尊师孝亲、 崇德立志、仁爱处世的中华传统美德。
On Sep 28, the G1 students in CBIS ushered in a meaningful activity -- the Initial Writing Ceremony. In ancient times, the Initial Writing Ceremony, one of the four major gifts of life, is a very solemn ceremony. It is meaningful for every students to celebrate life into the new stage of learning skills and being humans.
The Initial Writing Ceremony of CBIS can not only express parents' expectations for their children to become successful, but also let the children inherit the traditional Chinese virtues, such as work hard, be respectful for teachers and be filial for the elderly, advocate moral character and set up ideals, be kind to the world and so on.

SONG SINGING COMPETITION
9月29-30日,山语湖双语学校举办第二届中国红色爱国歌曲演唱比赛,本次红歌赛主题为“祖国,您好!”,旨在让全体山语湖学子在比赛中感受红色旋律带来的力量,激发他们热爱祖国、热爱母校、热爱生活的情感。
一曲曲赞歌唱出了祖国的壮美与辽阔,唱出了革命精神的继承流传。
小小少年,爱我中华。少年强则国强。CBIS定将全力呵护祖国未来的希望,培养他们茁壮成长,将来为祖国母亲的繁荣昌盛、国泰民安贡献力量!
From Sep 29 to 30, the 2nd Chinese Red Patriotic Song Singing Competition of CBIS was held. The theme of this red song competition was "Hello, Motherland", aiming to let all students of CBIS feel the power brought by the red melody in the competition and to stimulate their love for the motherland, school and life.
These anthems sang out the magnificence and vastness of the motherland, and sang out the inheritance of the revolutionary spirit.
The youths love the country. Strong youths make a strong country. CBIS will do the best to protect and cultivate them, who are aimed to make contributions to the prosperity and the peace of our motherland!
为迎接党的二十大胜利召开,切实加强青少年思想道德建设,坚定少先队员的理想信念,10月14日,学校党支部书记、总校长杨如华走进课堂,为六年级队员上了一堂意义深刻的思政课。
杨如华书记引经据典、声情并茂地讲解,同学们听得津津有味,生动的党史课,让一颗颗红色的“种子”悄无声息地在“红领巾”心中生根萌芽。
On October 14, Mr. Yang Ruhua, the secretary of the party branch and general principal of CBIS, gave a meaningful ideological and political course for Grade 6 students with the purpose of welcoming the victory convening of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), effectively strengthening the ideological and moral cultivation of young people, and stabilizing the ideals and beliefs of the young pioneers.
经过三周的激烈角逐,CBIS第八届健身节圆满落下帷幕,各项赛事顺利结束。11月18日,健身节闭幕日与亲子运动会终于压轴登场,教师及家长跳跃、奔跑、流汗,与我们的孩子一起解锁运动的魅力!
运动健儿们拼搏进取,勇者无惧;场下观众高声呐喊,助威声此起彼伏。跑道上,操场边,汗水与激情共同闪耀,展现了CBIS学子的风采。
After 3 weeks' competition, the 8th CBIS fitness Festival comes to an end. On November 18, the, finale of the Fitness Festival, was held in CBIS.
Spectators cheered for the athletes who tried their best and overcame all the difficulties to showcase their courage. This experience would be a memorable moment for them all.
UNIT 2 CELEBRATION ONLINE
在本学期英语第二单元线上结题会中,IB-PYP的孩子们主动带领爸爸妈妈回顾了自己的单元学习历程,并在结题项目中展示出了作为学习者的核心素养。
本次线上结题体现了CBIS IB-PYP英语组的教育理念——以项目作为依托,让孩子们跳脱出纯语言的机械灌输,让他们通过外语学习感知世界,感知社会,并以语言作为沟通工具,帮助他们达成更高远的目标 – 成为一位具备核心素养的学习者与世界公民。
This semester, CBIS IB-PYP English group has also been carrying out English teaching with this set of values, and strives to help students improve their attributes as lifelong learners in language learning through project-based end-of-unit reporting. In the online reporting meeting, IB-PYP children actively led their parents to review their unit learning process, and demonstrated their core attributes as learners in the closing project.
The project-based closing meeting of unit 2 reflects the educational philosophy of CBIS IB-PYP English Group - using projects to encourage children to jump out of the mechanical learning of language knowledge, to let them perceive the world and society through foreign language learning, and to use language as a communication tool to achieve a higher goal - to become a learner and world citizen with generic attributes.
