Mr. Zhang Xiaopeng, a intermediate-ranked English teacher of middle years, is a key teacher of Guangzhou. He graduated from the University of Leeds with a master's degree in TESOL. He holds the TESOL International English Senior Teacher Certificate, and has served as a homeroom teacher, subject coordinator leader, grade coordinator, director of moral office, assistant to the principal, and postgraduate internship instructor of Guangdong University of Foreign Studies for a long time. He has been invited to Foshan, Meizhou, Yunnan Dehong Autonomous Prefecture Ethnic Middle School, and Workers' Children Secondary School in Hong Kong for student-based education.
What Mr. Zhang showed us was I can run really fast of Period 1 Unit 2, Module 2, Volume 2, Grade 7. He introduced the teaching theme of teaching reading in this unit and how to use their own advantages to campaign for the class subject representatives with familiar people and learning scenes, so that students can fully show what advantages they should have as subject representatives. In the process of cultivating students' core competence in language practice, let students experience the use of modal verb “can” and grasp the structure of writing through the application of mind map.
