PYP研学特辑 | 最好的课堂在路上
在CBIS,学习与探究不局限在校园与教室之内,我们根据单元主题内容,定期开展研学活动,学生可以放下书本、走出课堂,用自己的双手触碰知识,了解这个世界,这是我们IB-PYP探究课堂的重要组成方式。
上周,CBIS国际小学部开展了研学活动,他们在鸟语花香的初春中感受大自然,在红色旧址里传承革命精神,体验了一场超学科的沉浸式主题学习。
In CBIS, learning and inquiry are not confined to the campus or the classroom. We conduct regular learning activities based on unit themes, where students can put down their books and go outside the classroom to "touch" the knowledge and learn about the world with their own hands, which is an important part of our IB-PYP inquiry classroom.
Last week, International Primary School Department of CBIS carried out some field trips, during which the students felt the nature in the early spring of birds and flowers, and inherited the revolutionary spirit in the revolutionary site, and experienced an immersive theme learning of transdisciplinary.
G3的同学们循着单元探究线索“人类如何利用植物”踏上了华南植物园的考察之旅,在奇异植物室细心观察着各类植物,并了解他们的功能;在热带雨林区,他们探究了动物是如何栖息并繁殖;在课堂上“为什么兰花能成为花中四君子”的疑问此刻得到了花儿的现场解答。
“如果我们能够看懂一朵花所蕴含的奥秘,我们的整个生活就会发生变化。”在探究的同时,学生们不禁思考“这些濒危的苏铁将来会灭绝吗?为了拯救这些珍贵的植物,我们能做的有哪些……”他们深刻地意识到植物构成了生命的基础。
G3 students started a trip to the South China Botanical Garden following the second line of inquiry "How Humans Use Plants". They observed various plants in the exotic plant room and understood their functions. In the tropical rainforest area, they explored how animals inhabit and breed. The question of a student "why can orchids become one of the four gentlemen flowers" was finally answered by the flower itself in the garden.
"If we can understand the mystery of a flower, our whole life will change." While exploring, the students couldn't help thinking "Will the endangered cycads become extinct in the future? What can we do to save these precious plants?” … They were keenly aware that "plants form the basis of life”.
G4的学生参观了热带雨林室、沙漠植物室等主题场景,直观地感受并比较了各生态系统的区别,理解了不同的环境孕育不同的物种。在这些不同的生态系统里,植物与动物之间的各种关系,它们的存在与相互制约,恰好维持生态系统的顺利运转。这正是对中心思想“生物多样性有赖于生态系统中各生物体的相互独立与平衡”的最好解读,而这样的概念性理解在学生亲近大自然时得到了证实。
G4 students visited the tropical rainforest room, desert plant room and other theme scenes, intuitively felt and compared the differences of each ecosystem, and understood that different environments breed different species. The various relationships between plants and animals in these different ecosystems, their existence and mutual constraints precisely maintain the smooth functioning of the ecosystem. This is the best interpretation of the central idea "Biodiversity relies on maintaining the interdependent balance of organisms within systems", and this conceptual understanding is confirmed when students are close to nature.

G5与G6的学生则走进中共三大会址、中共中央机关旧址春园以及鲁迅纪念馆,共同探究政府体制的运作方式以及组织内部的功能,学习革命历史,加深对党的了解。
Students from G5 and G6 went to the site of the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the Spring Garden in the former site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, and Lu Xun Memorial Hall to explore the operation of the government system and the functions within the organization, learn the revolutionary history, and deepen the understanding of the party.
在中共三大会址,学生更深一步地认识中国共产党建立的原因,深入体会党组织对人民的领导及对社会的推进作用。
在中共中央机关旧址春园,他们化身小小“情报员”,为组织执行神秘任务,在一层层的探索中破解谜题,了解党的发展史。
在鲁迅纪念馆,他们了解了鲁迅先生的生平事迹与在革命事业中的奋斗历程,通过作品学习其内在精神。学生对这位民族伟人有了更清晰的认知。
At the site of the Third National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the students further understood the reasons for the establishment of the CPC, and gain an in-depth appreciation of the leadership of the Party organization to the people and its role in advancing society.
In the Spring Garden in the former site of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, they turned into little "intelligencers" to carry out mysterious tasks for the organization, solve mysteries and understand the development history of the Party through layer upon gradual exploration.
At Lu Xun Memorial Hall, they learned about Lu Xun's life story and struggle in the revolutionary cause, and learned his inner spirit through his works. Students had a clearer understanding of this great man of the nation.
展览通过文物、照片、图标、绘画创作以及立体场景等陈列手段,融入数字化多媒体新技术,将现代科技与历史叙事相结合,讲述红色故事,营造历史氛围。
在这样的展览中,同学们更深刻地感知到党内体制的运作与决议的产生,对本单元的学习也有了更深刻的理解。这便是“在体验中学习”,“在实践中学习”的巨大吸引力。
Through cultural relics, photos, icons, paintings and three-dimensional scenes, the exhibition integrates new digital multimedia technology, combines modern technology with historical narration, tells red stories and creates a historical atmosphere.
In such an exhibition, students have a deeper perception of the operation of the inner-party system and the generation of resolutions, and a deeper understanding of the study of this unit. That is the great appeal of "learning through experience" and "learning through practice".
最好的课堂,是积极探究中的恍然大悟,更是团队合作时的相互成就。CBIS的学生走出教室,在实践中感悟知识与文化的联系,在探索中发展学习技能,提升概念性理解,为成为“让世界变得更美好”的终身学习者打下坚实的基础。
The best class is the sudden realization in active exploration and the mutual achievement in teamwork. CBIS students go beyond the classroom to feel the connection between knowledge and culture in practice, develop learning skills and conceptual understanding through exploration, and build a solid foundation for becoming lifelong learners who "make the world a better place".
