Greetings from Mr Gary Minnitt in London:
Director of Accreditation
COBIS
On behalf of the COBIS Accreditation Team, thank you for receiving us so warmly and openly. We do appreciate that this process places additional pressure on a school and we also are conscious that this is a choice for the school. Thank you for choosing COBIS to work with and thank you for the privilege of being allowed to see your school in action.
While Mr Minnitt was having online conversations with our teachers, COBIS representatives Ms Howell and Mr Wells visited us on-site, observed our lessons, interviewed our students, staff and parents, and evaluated our performance against the following accreditation standards: Learning and Teaching; Leadership in the School; Communication; and Extra-Curricular, Enrichment, and Engagement.
This week we opened our doors to COBIS for lesson observations and conversations with our staff, students, and parents. We are very proud to share that the initial feedback from COBIS is the school has met all the required standards to be awarded full accreditation. We would like to extend our gratitude to our school community for being fantastic ambassadors. We can't wait to share the full report with you in the very near future.
Our commitment to providing the highest quality education is reflected in our accreditation by international organisations such as COBIS. We are proud to be part of a global community of schools that share our values of excellence, innovation, and social responsibility.
COBIS, the Council of British International Schools, is a membership association that represents more than 450 schools and organisations globally. A fundamental aim of COBIS is to support its members and represent their interests in Britain and overseas, particularly with Government, education authorities and educational associations to advance the interests of British schools overseas and the commercial organisations which export education resources, products and services.

LEH Foshan has been proudly listed on the COBIS official website, joining an elite group of only 12 member schools in the Mainland of China as the only member from Guangdong Province. In early 2022, we were bestowed with the prestigious COBIS Member (Compliance) status. The accreditation visit in 2023 will elevate us to a fully accredited Member status.
What does COBIS accreditation mean for a school?
COBIS accreditation is a recognition of a school's commitment to delivering a British-style education that meets rigorous academic standards and provides excellent student support. This accreditation not only distinguishes schools as providers of quality education but also opens up a world of opportunities for both teachers and students. COBIS accredited schools gain access to professional development programmes that empower teachers with the latest teaching methodologies and techniques, which in turn enhance the learning experience for students.
This remarkable achievement is a testament to the unwavering commitment of our school to uphold the highest standards of academic excellence and to provide an exceptional educational experience that fosters personal growth and global citizenship. We take immense pride in this accomplishment and look forward to continuing our journey towards continued success and growth.
