At CBIS, art is everywhere. Walking in the campus, we seem to be in the themed art exhibition halls. Children's works full of vitality and creativity can be seen everywhere.
Our students lead and participate in the whole process of creation, in which they continue to explore and practice, reflect on the work and its meaning and then share it to develop self-awareness and expand knowledge.
This Friday afternoon, the CBIS PYP Art Exhibition and Music Concert was officially open to parents, teachers and students of the whole school, inviting everyone to experience the extraordinary artistic achievements of international primary students.
Music can always give people some kind of wonderful power, touch our hearts, and make us feel joy, passion, warmth and emotion.
Over the past few weeks, children have been rehearsing for this concert, memorizing lyrics, creating beautiful movements and dance steps, and putting their skills and energy into a unique performance.
Almost 100 students participated in this concert. Every rehearsal on the stage, even every line of lyrics and every movement established emotion and friendship, which will become one of the most valuable experiences in their campus life.
Music is like a link that connects everything together. Children create music and enjoy it. The communication skills, creativity, teamwork and passion they showed touched every audience present.
The art exhibition has always been a stage for CBIS students to show themselves. They spend a whole year preparing, drawing the wonderful pictures in their minds with their unrestrained imagination, and creating amazing works.
Its painting style is full of simplicity with lines and reveals delicate emotions. Its imagination, conception, technique, color and freedom without any constraints are the most touching and wonderful values of these works.
The art exhibition was divided into 2 parts: the fun area and the exhibition area. The themes include paper-cutting, collage, three-dimensional object design and production, and even traditional intangible cultural heritage.
A piece of work is an exploration of the world by a little mind. These young artists patiently explained their design concepts and sources of inspiration, and the guests stopped to watch.
During the course of the project, students explored and discussed the idea about "beauty" hidden behind artistic expression, which enhanced their aesthetic ability, deepened their understanding of their inner world, and learned to use artistic language to show and express themselves.
CBIS regularly organizes a variety of art activities, allowing students to have a broader perspective and build a more diverse understanding of art.
We believe that no matter whether children will become artists or musicians in the future, our art education will open up a world full of creativity for them, allowing them to better understand themselves and connect with this wonderful world.
