I have been really impressed with the boys’ commitment and dedication to their training this term, waking up at 05:45 two mornings a week and working until 18:30 two evenings a week. Of course, there were days when they really didn’t want to get up, but they still rolled out of bed, walked over to the sports hall, no matter the weather, and worked hard. Despite the results, it was obvious that with every game the boys grew in confidence and determination, and they started to look more like a cohesive team, especially in defence. There are still a lot of things to work on, specifically their fitness, but over the coming years LEH should have a decrease in the scoreline and an increase in the number of points scored. Michael Jordan – “I've missed more than 9000 shots in my career. I've lost almost 300 games. Twenty six times, I've been trusted to take the game winning shot and missed. I've failed over and over and over again in my life. And that is why I succeed.”

The LEH Swim team, coached by Jason Lu have gone from strength to strength in the later part of this academic year. There have been early morning training sessions and weekend training sessions in addition to the 2 training slots within the ECA programme. Each and every one of them has worked tremendously hard and shown unwavering commitment to improving. The LEHF Invitational Swim Meet on 27th May was a real time to shine, for those competing for the first time as well as more seasoned competitive swimmers. It was wonderful that so many of the swim team members were so keen to be involved in the event and they were able to show a truly positive representation of the school culminating in a victorious win of the “Overall Top Scoring School” trophy. “There will be obstacles. If you want to be the best you have to do things that other people aren't willing to do. There will be doubters. There will be mistakes. But with hard work... There are no limits”, Michael Phelps, US Olypmic swimmer.
We appreciate all the students, coaches, and organising schools for fostering a vibrant sports culture together within the community. LEH International School Foshan remains committed to nurturing our students' sporting aspirations, providing opportunities to develop skills, teamwork, and sportsmanship. We eagerly anticipate future competitions where their unwavering spirit will shine.
