We believe that education should be future-oriented.
At CBIS, we are committed to cultivating students' creative thinking, innovative spirit and inquiry ability. In curriculum design, our subjects such as physics, mathematics, biology, and chemistry can lay a solid foundation for children's academic success in the future and help them cope with the challenges of the new era.
From 12 to 19 June, the CBIS Bilingual Experimental Track's Science and Technology Festival was launched when children presented their latest "technological achievements".
CNC SCIENCE AND
TECHNOLOGY FESTIVAL
The theme of this Science and Technology Festival of the Bilingual Experimental Department is "Create Like Artists, Think Like Scientists ". At the opening ceremony, General Principal Yang Ruhua encouraged the children that today's technology is developing rapidly and artificial intelligence is becoming commonplace, and that the top talents of the future must have a strong spirit of innovation and practical skills in order to earn a place and respect for their country in the national world.
It is worth mentioning that the badges and mascots of this event were designed by the students independently. The works were voted by all the teachers and students of the Bilingual Experimental Track. Finally, the badge pattern designed by Annie in Grade 8 and the mascot "Xiaoji" logo designed by Hana in the Grade 5 stood out.
The students, from primary to secondary divs, prepared for this event for weeks. They explored the scientific interests in life around them, whose works were covering areas such as biology, physics, chemistry and the STEM curriculum.
They visited a variety of highly creative scientific and technological works, each of which attracted students to stay and explore, and each project was filled with "little technology fans" who were eager to experience it.
The Science and Technology Festival lasted for a week, and the themes included the Biological Model Competition, the Paper Airplane Competition, the Paper Bridge Competition and the Monopoly Competition. In each activity, we can see the positive attitudes of the children, their spirit of participation, sense of cooperation, creativity, self-confidence and other good qualities fully displayed in the activities, which is impressive.
The children presented the results of various scientific experiments with whimsical ideas, demonstrating their interdisciplinary skills integrated in mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology and other fields. At the same time, they also actively participated in a variety of interesting activities, felt the charm of science in the game, and developed the spirit of inquiry in the competition.
The children's dream of being a scientist is like a paper airplane in their hands, taking off here at this moment.
The children have created a strong atmosphere of science advocated, constant innovation and practice in the school, where sparks of wisdom collided and bright smiles bloomed. In the process of participation, they learn to create like artists and think like scientists when impressive outcomes were aroused with technology and innovation.
