LEH International School Foshan proudly announces the opening of our new Prep School boarding house, a welcoming home-away-from-home for our youngest boarders aged 6-10. As a forward-thinking educational institution, we recognise the importance of providing a nurturing, safe, and stimulating environment for our students, especially those in their formative years. This new facility is a testament to our commitment to the holistic development of every child in our care.
The Advantages of
Early Boarding
Boarding from a young age offers a unique set of advantages. It fosters independence, resilience, and social skills as students learn to navigate a community setting. They not only develop the ability to think and act independently but also acquire essential life skills such as time management, personal responsibility, and decision-making. Young boarders also develop lifelong friendships and learn the value of cooperation and empathy in a caring environment. Moreover, being part of a close-knit community instils a sense of belonging and confidence, essential for personal growth.
Tailored Facilities
for Young Learners
Our Prep boarding rooms have been meticulously designed with our younger students in mind. Instead of loft beds for Secondary students, we have opted for ground-level beds and accessible storage to ensure both convenience and safety. The spacious layout encourages play and exploration, creating a vibrant and engaging atmosphere for rest and creative activities.
Prioritising
Emotional Wellbeing
Recognising the emotional challenges that young children might face when adapting to boarding life, we have introduced a Wellbeing Room. This space is for students who need emotional support or a quiet moment away from the hustle and bustle of school life. It is a testament to our understanding and commitment to the mental and emotional well-being of our students.
A Dedicated Matron,
Friend and Mentor
Under the caring supervision of Ms Annis Meng, the Matron of Prep Boarding, our Prep students receive well-rounded support and guidance. Ms Meng's role extends beyond the upkeep of the boarding house; she is also a friend and mentor, joining students for meals and activities and ensuring their time at LEH Foshan is enriching and joyful.
Ms Meng is supported by our dedicated boarding team and all Prep teachers. Teachers regularly participate in evening activities, together fostering a strong, supportive community.

A Customised Timetable
for Balanced Growth
Our Prep students follow a carefully structured timetable, balancing academic, social, and personal time:

Engaging activities in the social room
Structured reading time and shower

This schedule emphasises the importance of sufficient sleep, crucial for the physical and academic development of young learners. At LEH Foshan, we prioritise this by setting a lights-out time of 8.30 PM. This practice ensures that our students get ample rest, preparing them for the next day filled with learning and exploration.
Now you might wonder, what time do Prep students do their homework? Homework is seamlessly integrated into the day, with a dedicated homework club during ECA time, ensuring it does not encroach upon their personal time.
A Foundation for
Future Success
At LEH International School Foshan, we believe that the foundation laid in the early years is vital for future success. Our Prep School Boarding Programme is designed to nurture, support, and inspire our young learners, equipping them with the skills and experiences to thrive in a rapidly changing world. As they grow with us, they not only excel academically but also develop into well-rounded, confident individuals, ready to make their mark in the future journey ahead.
