SK Jump Up & Grade 5 Promotion Ceremonies | 六月盛夏，见证成长：大班和5年级升学典礼

As the summer heat sets in, our campus is buzzing with the joy of celebration and the vibrant energy of new beginnings. This year, our SK Jump Up and Grade 5 Promotion ceremonies centered around a powerful theme: Growth.

From the tender beginnings of SK’s 'From Sprouts to Blossoms' to the strength of Grade 5’s ' Deep Roots, New Branches,' these two milestones frame the continuum of growth at ISD. Each ceremony stands as a proud celebration of our students' achievements and an inspiring bridge to the chapters ahead.

Early Childhood marks the very first step of a child’s academic journey, the foundational years where they begin to discover who they are and explore the world around them.

Looking back to the start of their time with us, these children bravely let go of their parents' hands and stepped into their very first classrooms, embarking on their journey of growth at ISD. Today, they are no longer the quiet, delicate sprouts that first arrived; they stand on stage as bright, confident individuals ready to shine. This ceremony is a celebration of the incredible strides they have made during this first chapter of their education.

During the ceremony, our SK students took to the stage with a lively skit, confidently sharing their favorite ISD memories and celebrating their milestones in their own unique way. Over the past year, their progress has been nothing short of inspiring. We have watched them learn to lend a helping hand to their peers, speak English with natural confidence, navigate social situations with kindness and respect, and even express themselves through original stories and poems. Others have also developed a heartfelt care for our planet and a gentle responsibility for protecting animals.

These everyday moments showcase how much they have blossomed in communication, literacy, emotional maturity, social connection, and independence within ISD's nurturing environment.

Congratulations to our SK students on completing this first chapter! They are fully prepared, full of life, and ready to extend their branches as they eagerly embrace the adventures of primary school.

The Grade 5 promotion ceremony opened with a deeply moving performance of "The Climb." Our Grade 5 students poured their hearts into the lyrics, singing a powerful declaration of their own growth: 

Every step I'm taking / Every move I make feels / Lost with no direction / My faith is shaking / But I, I gotta keep trying.

This anthem of courage and resilience perfectly captured the spirit of the day, marking a seamless transition from primary to secondary school.

Throughout this upward journey, our students have come to understand what it truly means to ground themselves as they reach new heights. Their time within the IB PYP framework has extended far beyond academic knowledge, allowing them to cultivate lifelong skills and essential character traits.

Over the years, they have learned to ask thoughtful, critical questions and pursue answers with relentless dedication. They have learned to value diverse perspectives, finding constructive ways to collaborate even through disagreements. From exploring real-world issues to viewing the world through an interdisciplinary lens, they have developed independent minds, emotional resilience, and the empathy required of global citizens who care deeply about the wider world.

This promotion ceremony celebrated the successful culmination of their PYP journey, a major milestone on their path to secondary school. Our Grade 5 students will carry the courage and confidence fostered at ISD as they extend their branches toward higher achievements and step boldly into a future of endless possibilities.

六月盛夏，校园里涌动着关于收获的喜悦，也蓄满了奔赴新征程的力量。今年幼儿园大班和小学五年级升学典礼的主题是关于成长。

从幼儿园的“从萌芽到绽放”，到五年级的“扎根深处，向阳生长”，这两个升学典礼主题，串联起孩子们在ISD的成长轨迹。每一个闪光的里程碑，是对学子阶段性学习成果的礼赞，更是对崭新旅程的美好期许。

幼儿园是孩子们学习生涯的第一站，也是他们认识自我、探索世界的起点。

回望入园之初，孩子们怀着对未知的懵懂，勇敢地松开父母的手，在ISD开启了成长的旅程。此刻，从昔日泥土下内敛含蓄的小小萌芽，到如今在舞台上迎着阳光舒展、明亮、自信盛开的独立个体。这场升学典礼，正是他们完成幼儿阶段成长跨越的最好见证。

典礼上，孩子们用一场灵动的小短剧自信地讲述自己在ISD的成长故事，庆祝属于他们的绽放。在过去的一年里，孩子们的进步与成长清晰可见：有人学会在同伴需要时伸出援手；有人能够自如地运用英语交流；有人懂得了礼貌待人的社交礼仪；有人学会写故事和写诗；有人懂得关心地球、照顾小动物……

这些看似微小的点滴，记录着孩子们在ISD充满支持的环境里，在语言表达、读写技能、情绪管理、社交互动和自理能力上一步步成长的印记。

祝贺小朋友们圆满完成幼儿阶段的学习旅程！他们已经做好了充分的准备，带着这份绽放的光芒，伸出更加茁壮的枝叶，勇敢地迎接小学的新旅程。

五年级升学典礼在一曲动人心弦的《攀登》（The Climb）中拉开序幕。五年级学生用真挚的歌声，唱响属于他们的成长宣言：

迈出的每一步/ 做的每个抉择 / 尽管有时会迷失方向/ 信念也会动摇 / 可我，仍要继续尝试

这首关于勇气与坚持的歌曲，恰好映照了他们即将启程的心声，也拉开了他们从小学迈向中学的序幕。

在这场向着未来攀登的旅程中，孩子们经历的是“扎根”与“生长”的蜕变。在IB PYP学习历程里，他们所收获的，远不止是知识，更有那些贯穿一生的能力与品格，悄然沉淀。

他们学会如何自主提出具有思辨性的问题，并为寻找答案付出持续的探究努力；他们懂得了倾听不同的声音，也学会了在分歧中找到合作的方式；从探究一个个与现实生活紧密联结的议题，到用跨学科的视角理解这个世界。这个过程中，他们慢慢建立起独立思考的能力、面对挫折的韧劲，以及作为全球公民关心他人、关注更广阔世界的责任与善意。

五年级升学典礼，标志着孩子们圆满完成了PYP阶段的旅程，迎来了迈向中学的关键里程碑。他们将带着在PYP阶段累积的勇气和自信，向着更高处伸展枝叶，勇敢地去拥抱充满无限机遇的未来。

여름 더위가 시작되면서 우리 학교는 축하의 기쁨과 새로운 시작의 활기찬 에너지로 가득 차 있습니다. 올해 유치원 점프업 행사와 5학년 진급식은 ' 성장' 이라는 의미 있는 주제를 중심으로 진행되었습니다 .

SK 학년의 '싹에서 꽃으로'라는 소박한 시작부터 5학년의 '깊은 뿌리, 새로운 가지'라는 굳건한 결실에 이르기까지, 이 두 가지 중요한 이정표는 ISD의 지속적인 성장을 보여주는 상징입니다. 각 졸업식은 학생들의 성취를 자랑스럽게 축하하는 자리이자 앞으로 펼쳐질 새로운 장으로 나아가는 희망찬 다리가 되어줍니다. 모든 Qilin 학생들이 평생 배움에 대한 열정을 품고 미래를 향해 나아가기를 진심으로 기원합니다.

유아기는 아이의 학업 여정의 첫걸음이며, 아이들이 자신이 누구인지 발견하고 주변 세상을 탐험하기 시작하는 기초적인 시기입니다.

처음 우리와 함께한 시간을 되돌아보면, 이 아이들은 용감하게 부모님의 손을 놓고 첫 교실로 발을 내딛으며 ISD 에서의 성장 여정을 시작했습니다. 오늘날, 그들은 처음 왔을 때의 조용하고 여린 새싹이 아니라, 밝고 자신감 넘치는 모습으로 무대 위에 서서 빛을 발할 준비를 하고 있습니다. 이 행사는 아이들이 교육의 첫 장을 통해 이뤄낸 놀라운 발전을 아름답게 축하하는 자리입니다.

이날 행사에서 아이들은 ISD에서 성장해 온 이야기를 생동감 넘치는 짧은 연극으로 자신감 있게 풀어내며 , 각자의 방식으로 꽃을 피운 것을 축하했습니다. 지난 한 해 동안 아이들 의 발전과 성장은 뚜렷하게 드러났습니다 . 어떤 아이들은 친구들을 돕는 법을 배웠고 , 어떤 아이들은 영어로 유창하게 소통할 수 있게 되었으며 , 어떤 아이들은 예의 바른 사회적 에티켓을 익혔고 , 어떤 아이들은 이야기와 시를 쓰는 법을 배웠고 , 또 어떤 아이들은 지구와 작은 동물들을 돌보는 법을 배웠습니다.

이러한 일상적인 순간들은 ISD의 따뜻한 환경 속에서 아이들이 의사소통 능력, 읽고 쓰는 능력, 정서적 성숙도, 사회적 관계 형성, 그리고 독립심 면에서 얼마나 성장했는지를 보여줍니다.

SK 학생들이 이 첫 장을 성공적으로 마친 것을 진심으로 축하합니다! 학생들은 모든 준비를 마치고, 활기 넘치는 모습으로 초등학교 생활의 모험을 향해 나아갈 준비가 되어 있습니다.

5학년 졸업식은 감동적인 노래 "The Climb" 공연으로 시작되었습니다. 5학년 학생들은 가사에 온 마음을 담아 자신들의 성장을 힘차게 표현하며 노래했습니다. 

내가 내딛는 모든 발걸음 / 내가 하는 모든 움직임 / 방향을 잃은 듯 길을 잃은 듯 / 믿음이 흔들리지만 / 난, 난 계속 노력해야 만 해 .

용기와 회복력을 노래한 이 곡은 초등학교에서 중학교로의 순조로운 전환을 상징하며 이날의 의미를 완벽하게 담아냈습니다.

이러한 성장 여정 속에서 우리 학생들은 새로운 경지에 도달할 때 진정으로 자신을 다잡는 것이 무엇을 의미하는지 깨닫게 되었습니다. IB PYP 교육과정은 학생들에게 단순한 학문적 지식을 넘어 평생에 걸쳐 필요한 기술과 필수적인 인성 함양을 가능하게 해주었습니다.

수년간 그들은 사려 깊고 비판적인 질문을 던지고 끊임없는 헌신으로 답을 추구하는 법을 배웠습니다. 다양한 관점을 존중하고 의견 차이가 있더라도 건설적인 협력 방식을 찾는 법을 익혔습니다. 현실 세계의 문제들을 탐구하는 것부터 학제적인 관점에서 세상을 바라보는 것에 이르기까지, 그들은 독립적인 사고, 정서적 회복력, 그리고 더 넓은 세상을 깊이 생각하는 세계 시민에게 필요한 공감 능력을 길러왔습니다.
