在重重期待中,佛山暨大港澳子弟学校小学部迎来了第二届学科嘉年华。
今年,学校以“智汇AI・赋能新探索”为主题,将人工智能作为创新纽带,融合音乐、视觉艺术、戏剧、SEL社会情感学习、体育及STEM六大核心学科领域。六大学科分区环环相扣,AI不再是独立科技元素,而是服务于探究学习的工具,与其说孩子们是在接触AI,不如说他们正在学习如何善用AI工具,拓展学习的边界,真正实现“科技赋能学科,探究驱动成长”。





在小学部,AI工具不再是一项高深复杂的技术,而是孩子们用来解决问题、表达想法的“超级助手”。
我们不妨跟着孩子的脚步,来看看学科嘉年华这些特别有“科技感”的现场:

STEM 科创展区

在这里,智能机器人、AI实验装置、创意编程展台吸引大批学生驻足。孩子们亲手操控智能设备、借助AI工具完成科学假设与验证,在动手创造中培养批判性思维与创新解决问题能力。





视觉艺术展区

学生运用AI绘图工具辅助创意构思,结合手绘、拼贴、立体装置完成艺术作品;画笔与算法碰撞,传统审美与数字创意共生,充分释放孩童想象力,实现“AI + 美育”融合。







音乐、戏剧舞台

借助AI音效、智能配音工具编排音乐剧、原创情景剧,同学们用舞台演绎表达自我;戏剧面具、创意曲目轮番登场,沉浸式感受多元艺术表达。
孩子们的戏剧深刻的演绎了网流量时代对我们的影响,也梳理了环境保护主题中我们与地球的关系,给一个契机更深刻的看待自己与世界。









SEL社会情感学习专区

以爱心、情绪互动道具为载体,搭配AI情绪互动小游戏,引导学生认知自我情绪、学会共情协作,落实IB全人培养核心目标。




体育(PE)赛场

篮球、足球、趣味团队闯关轮番开展,智能运动记录工具同步上线,让体能锻炼兼具科技趣味,平衡身心发展。



本次嘉年华采用开放式游园模式,孩子们以小组形式自主选择体验项目,规划探索路线,并在过程中完成不同挑战。
低年级学生围着机器人不停提问;中高年级学生组队挑战科创任务;艺术展区里,孩子们专注创作、分享自己的想法。这些互动,其实都在培养主动学习的内驱力。

小学部Katy主任表示:“IB教育的核心是培养懂得思考、勇于探索、拥抱变化的全球公民。本届学科嘉年华以AI为载体,打通多学科壁垒,跳出单一书本教学,给学生提供真实、有趣的探究场景。我们希望孩子不只接收知识,更学会运用工具、整合学科、大胆创造,在体验中建立终身学习热情。”

参与活动的教师深有感触,AI工具让原本抽象的知识点变得直观易懂,充分调动起孩子的学习积极性。而整场跨学科活动,完美贴合IB PYP超学科探究的学习框架,让课堂知识和课外实践相辅相成,学习不再局限于教室之内。





看到孩子们在现场的表现,不少到场的家长感叹:“原来学习还可以是这个样子的!” 看到孩子能主动去思考、遇到困难找同伴协作、在舞台上大方创新,学校全人教育的成果也变成了眼前的真实画面。

Amid high expectations, the Primary School of ASJ Foshan welcomed its second annual PYP Carnival.
This year, under the theme "Empowered by AI・Exploring New Possibilities," the school utilized artificial intelligence as an innovative bridge to seamlessly connect six core disciplines: Music, Visual Arts, Drama, Social-Emotional Learning (SEL), Physical Education, and STEM. With the six subject zones intricately linked, AI was no longer just an isolated technological element, but a tool serving inquiry-based learning. Rather than merely exposing children to AI, the event focused on teaching them how to leverage AI tools to expand the boundaries of their learning—truly embodying the philosophy that "technology empowers disciplines, and inquiry drives growth."

In the Primary School, AI tools are no longer seen as an arcane or complex technology, but rather as "super assistants" that children use to solve problems and express their ideas.
Let’s follow in the children's footsteps and take a look at these tech-driven moments from the Carnival:

STEM

Here, intelligent robots, AI experimental setups, and creative coding booths drew large crowds of students. By getting hands-on with these smart devices and utilizing AI tools to form and test scientific hypotheses, children nurtured their critical thinking and innovative problem-solving skills through the very act of creation.




Visual Arts

Students utilized AI drawing tools to assist in their creative brainstorming, blending hand-drawing, collage, and 3D installations to bring their artwork to life. As paintbrushes collided with algorithms, traditional aesthetics coexisted with digital creativity, fully unleashing the children's imagination and achieving a seamless fusion of "AI + Aesthetic Education.







Drama&Music

Leveraging AI sound effects and smart dubbing tools to choreograph and stage musicals and original skits, students expressed themselves through the power of theater. As theatrical masks and creative musical tracks took center stage one after another, everyone was fully immersed in a rich tapestry of diverse artistic expressions.
The children's theatrical performances profoundly reflected the impact of the internet traffic era on our lives, while also exploring our relationship with Earth through the lens of environmental protection. These dramas provided a powerful catalyst for students to examine themselves and their connection to the world on a much deeper level.









SEL

Using empathy props and emotional interaction tools alongside interactive AI emotion games, the activity guided students to recognize their own emotions and practice empathy and collaboration—directly fulfilling the core mission of IB holistic education.




PE

Basketball, football, and fun team-building challenges took place one after another, supported by the simultaneous launch of smart sports tracking tools. This combination infused physical exercise with high-tech fun, keeping with the core principle of promoting a balanced development of mind and body.



This carnival adopts an open garden model. Children can choose experience projects in groups, plan exploration routes, and complete different challenges in the process.
Lower grade students gathered around the robot and kept asking questions; middle and senior students formed teams to challenge scientific and technological innovation tasks; in the art exhibition area, children focused on creating and sharing their ideas. These interactions actually cultivate the internal drive for active learning.

Ms. Katy, Head of the Primary School, said: "At the heart of an IB education is the cultivation of thoughtful, inquisitive global citizens who embrace change. Using AI as a catalyst, this year's Academic Carnival broke down traditional disciplinary barriers and moved beyond isolated textbook learning to provide students with authentic, engaging inquiry scenarios. We want our children to do more than just absorb knowledge; we want them to learn how to master tools, integrate disciplines, and create boldly—ultimately fostering a lifelong passion for learning through hands-on experience.

The event left a profound impression on the participating teachers: "AI tools transformed abstract knowledge into something tangible and approachable, spark-plugging the students' motivation to learn. As a cross-disciplinary journey, the carnival fits seamlessly into the IB PYP transdisciplinary framework, creating a powerful synergy between classroom learning and hands-on practice, and proving that education true to its core goes far beyond the classroom.





Witnessing their children's performance, many parents in attendance couldn't help but marvel, "So, this is what learning can actually look like!" Seeing the children proactively thinking, collaborating with peers to overcome difficulties, and confidently innovating on stage, parents felt that the fruits of the school’s holistic education had truly become a tangible reality right before their eyes.



As the era of AI dawns, many parents find themselves wondering: What kind of capabilities do children truly need to navigate the challenges of tomorrow with confidence?
Our answer is this: Even in a rapidly changing world where knowledge continuously refreshes and technology constantly iterates, a child who thinks critically, collaborates eagerly, and innovates boldly—one who maintains a sense of wonder, possesses the ability to identify and solve problems, and embraces lifelong learning—is the one who will truly possess the resilience and confidence to face the future.
