教师职业发展是长期持续,与时俱进的一个过程。莱克顿教师团队通过严谨制定的教师职业发展项目,在学校领导层和学术团队带头人的共同推进下,力求使整个教师团队在共同的价值观、明确的教学目标及使命下,稳固学校师资力量和教学标准,并持续发展职业能力。
作为莱克顿的教师职业发展顾问,校长Mr Clem Parrish和学术副校长Mr Frank Feng均为经验丰富的教师,且如今依旧在教学一线进行授课。在两位的协作领导下,教师团队呈现金字塔式结构,以团队合作形式成长,逐渐形成了向上发展的积极氛围和可持续的发展计划,确保稳定的高质量教学,以求精进卓越,不断反思并提升教学实践。
Teachers development is a sustainable process. Through a rigorously professional development programme, led by the school leadership and academic team leaders, Lucton seeks to solidify teaching standards and develop professional competencies with shared values, clear teaching and learning goals and missions.
As consultants to Lucton for teachers development, Mr Clem Parrish, the Headmaster, and Mr Frank Feng, Deputy Head of Academics, are both experienced teachers who are still teaching now. Under their collaborative leadership, teachers development turns in a pyramidal structure, growing as a team and creating a positive atmosphere for upward mobility and a sustainable development plan to ensure consistent high-quality teaching and learning, to refine excellence, and to enhance teaching practice and reflection.
吸纳年轻的优秀教学人才是教师职业发展中重要的环节,学校开展教师岗位实习项目、年轻老师学科专业技能培训项目等,主动培养师资团队的新人才力量,给予年轻教育菁才开放的机会。这一实际举措体现了学校的前瞻性和发展至上的理念,即便是在新冠疫情的困难下,这些实习老师仍通过新教师培训项目快速融入学校投身教学工作。
学术副校长Mr Frank Feng谈到年轻教师培训项目的重要性,“年轻教师的培训是我校教师职业发展项目中一个非常重要的部分。大部分新教师为双语教师,也是我们非常看重的教师群体。我们看到新教师巨大潜力的同时,也意识到只有经过系统和全面的培训才能帮助他们将这种潜力以学校的标准,运用到莱克顿的日常教学工作中。”
Attracting young, talented teachers is an important part of teachers development. The school has taken the initiative to develop new talent strength in the teaching staff by conducting internship programmes and subject-specific skills training programmes for young teachers, giving young educational elites more opportunities. This practical initiative reflects the school's foresight and development-oriented philosophy. Even with the difficulties of the epidemic, these intern teachers have been quickly integrated into the school's teaching work through the new teacher training programme.
Mr Frank Feng, the Deputy Head of Academics, commented on the importance of the young teacher training programme, 'The training of young teachers is a very important part of our professional development program. Most of the new teachers are bilingual, which is a very important group of teachers for us. While we see great potential in new teachers, we also realize that only systematic and comprehensive training can help them apply that potential to their daily teaching work at Lucton with school standards.'
源起于师资团队人才纳新计划,学校坚持与国内外院校合作开展实习项目,每学年招收实习教师展开教师岗位实习培训项目。一个月前四位有着共同教育情怀的年轻教育者到岗投入实习工作,虽然恰巧疫情,云加入学校,但是也为疫情下的线上课程输入了一股新鲜力量。
其中实习老师冯竞瑶分享道:“我在大学期间主修经济学,深入学习了A-level、IG以及IB等教学体系,很高兴能获得莱克顿经济科目的实习机会。实习期间我协助带教指导老师提前备课及授课,研究课程和教材,熟悉国际学校授课方式和内容。一开始我会旁听课程,得到学科老师建设性的建议。
在学科教师的多次带领后,我得到了固定间隔时间正式授课的机会,指导教师及实习项目协调员进行了课堂观摩并给予我第一时间的反馈。与莱克顿学生直接相处让我深深体会到,在开放创新的教育模式下学习与成长的孩子们,是多么开朗并富有创造力。与此同时我还接受了经验丰富的高层导师指导、学科教师带新培训,也积极参加学校组织的教师培训及专为实习老师组织的培训、教研和会议,并完成布置的项目作业,从聆听、实践、思考三者平衡发展。”
The school has been working with national and international institutions to develop internship programmes every year. One month ago, four young educators with a common educational sentiment kicked off their internships in Lucton, and although it coincided with the epidemic and joined the school virtually, they are a fresh force for the remote teaching under the epidemic.
One of the intern teachers, Ms Amy Yao, shared, 'I majored in Economics during my college and studied the A-level, IG and IB teaching systems in depth, and I am very happy to have been given the opportunity to intern in the Economics subject at Lucton. During my internship, I assisted my supervising teacher in preparing and teaching classes in advance, studying the curriculum and materials, and familiarizing myself with the teaching style and content of international schools. At first, I would observe the lessons and get constructive advice from the subject teachers.
After several sessions with the subject teacher, I was given the opportunity to teach formal lessons at regular intervals, and the supervisor and internship program coordinator observed the classes and gave me first-hand feedback. Working directly with the students at Lucton made me appreciate how open and creative the students are when they are learning and growing in an open and innovative educational model. At the same time I received mentoring from experienced senior mentors, subject teacher orientation training, and also actively participated in teacher trainings organized by the school and trainings, teaching and research, and conferences organized specifically for the intern teachers, and completed the assigned project assignments to develop a balance from listening, doing, and thinking.'
教学团队开展例会讨论、定期培训、趋势分析等等,巩固夯实在校教师专业能力。
在每周例会讨论中,学术带头人基于现实教学情况修正并调整课程实施标准与要求。教师及时交流分享自己对某一问题的理解以及教学经验,确保教学的连续性和渐进性。比如在线教学逐渐成为日常教学方式之一,老师们会进行网络授课教学方法的研习,以稳定提供高标准的在线教学,助力学生们取得良好的学术表现。
The academic team conducts regular meetings, training, trend analysis & research, to consolidate and strengthen the professional competence of the current teachers.
In the weekly meetings, academic leaders revise and adjust the curriculum implementation standards and requirements based on the teaching scenarios. Teachers share their understanding of an issue and their teaching experience in a timely manner to ensure continuity and progressiveness of teaching. For example, online teaching is becoming a daily practice, and teachers conduct research on online teaching methods in order to consistently provide high standards of online teaching to help students achieve good academic performance.
学校充分利用校内外资源,定期组织不同教学主题的培训,精进教师专业技能。学术顾问包括了校内经验丰富的教师、学术带头人以及来自世界顶尖学校的教育者。近期我们邀请了莱克顿教师职业发展顾问Mr Charlie Jenkinson,就个性化教学进行了专项培训并和教师们进行深入的交流。Mr Jenkinson曾在牛津大学和伊顿公学执教,之后在澳大利亚悉尼文法学校、英国奥多中学和温彻斯特公学担任校长,还曾任或正在担任13所英国私校的校董,其中包括切特豪斯公学。教师们在此系列培训中积极思考,发言踊跃,给Mr Jenkinson留下了深刻的记忆。另一方面,莱克顿教师们定期与世界顶尖的教育者认识与交流,共同分享经验,研习了最新教学方法和教学思维。

The school takes advantage of internal and external resources to organize regular training on different teaching topics to refine teachers' professional skills. Academic advisors include experienced teachers, academic leaders, and leading educators from top schools around the world. Recently, we invited Mr Charlie Jenkinson, Lucton professional development consultant, to conduct special training and in-depth discussions with teachers on personalized instruction. Mr Jenkinson used to teach in the Oxford University and Eton College, after that, he taught in Sydney Grammar School, Oundle School and Winchester College, and also he used to be or now is in-service as the governor member of 13 independent schools in UK including Charterhouse. Mr Jenkinson was impressed by our teachers' critical thinking and enthusiasm in this series of training sessions. On the other hand, Lucton teachers regularly met and interacted with the world's top educators, sharing their experiences and learning the latest teaching methods and thinking.
Education is constantly changing with the times. The school will analyze the future trends of education according to the actual situation and immediate teaching needs, providing the teaching team with a constant and increasingly updated information.
完善的晋升机制将教师职业发展理论和实践结合,极大地提高了教师发展的实效性。为了对教师团队进行可持续性的稳定发展,执行理事长Jason Zhou与校长、学术副校长及相关领导团队共同拟定了《上海莱克顿学校学术教师发展方针(Lucton School Shanghai Teachers Development Policy)》。
该方针集合(实习)教师招聘计划与资格标准、详细的教师工作分配、长期的(新)教师职业发展培训计划、年度教师考核评估标准、教师晋升途径职业职称与福利标准与年度最佳教师评选,更加明确了莱克顿教师职业的任职要求与发展方向。
A well-established promotion path combines the theory and practice, greatly enhancing the effectiveness of teachers development. In order to provide sustainable and stable development of the teaching staff, the Managing Governor, Jason Zhou, along with the Headmaster, Deputy Head of academics, and related leadership team, edited the 'Lucton School Shanghai Teachers Development Policy'.
The policy is a collection of (intern) teacher recruitment plans and qualifications, detailed teacher assignments, long-term (new) teachers development training plans, annual teacher evaluations, teacher promotion paths, career titles and benefits standards, and annual teacher of the year awards, which clarify the requirements and development of the teaching profession at Lucton.
未来已来,莱克顿稳定人才培养,聚焦教师职业发展,阐明未来方向,使其可行、可及、合理、可持续、可实现,具有一致性与前瞻性。教师职业发展项目确保为学生提供稳定优质的师资力量与完善的学习环境,保持教师个人的高标准职业素养,优化教学资源和教师管理。
