美凯思 | MKS STEM
STEM is a curriculum based on the idea of educating students in four specific disciplines - science, technology, engineering and mathematics - in an interdisciplinary and applied approach. Rather than teach the four disciplines as separate and discrete subjects, STEM integrates them into a cohesive learning class based on real-world applications. It’s a growing movement in education around the world. STEM-based learning programs are intended to increase students' interest in pursuing higher education and careers in those fields.
In an ever-changing complex world, it's more important than ever that our kids are prepared to use knowledge and skills to solve problems, analyse information, and make decisions. According to the education concept of STEM, the experts have confirmed four core skills that our youth must possess to meet the challenges, which are known as 4C, including critical thinking, communication, collaboration, and creativity.
MKS International Kindergarten is the 1st kindergarten that will introduce IB in Bao’an. It aims to help IB learners to be inquirers, knowledgeable, thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. As you can see, the goals of IB program and STEM share a lot in common. To make further understanding of STEM, MKS International Kindergarten organized a depth training for its teachers. They got the chance to visit a super awesome STEM workshop, and spent a whole day there. Let’s see what magic they have made:
STEM can be interesting as well as profitable. MKS is always on the way to giving the best.
