During this challenging time, it is important for us to find some time to spend out in nature and recharge. Being surrounded by plants is said to increase our mental health and help us have a positive outlook on life, not to mention how they help purify the air.
Our Pre School children have been focusing on their Growing Things Winter Holiday Challenges. Many of our student were very excited to share all their growing experiences and findings so far.
Displaying their amazing ‘green fingers’ they tended to their flowers and vegetables and documented the daily development by taking photos and measuring the length of the plants. This not only helped them understand the development and needs of plants but also develops self-confidence that comes from achieving goals. Some were even able to taste the fruits of their hard work!
We do hope we can return to school soon, so that we can transfer all these lovely plants into our school flower beds, and share all our amazing gardening journeys and knowledge we have gained from growing things with our friends.
