Every day at 3.45pm, the children of the Pre and Senior schools will end their busy day of study with the rousing orchestral dismissal bell.
But their exciting school life is far from over!
Our Co-Curricular Activity Programme is well articulated to stimulate and meet the needs of students from PreSchool to Senior School based on their interests and areas of excellence. The children are given time and opportunities to explore themselves every day after school.
This term, due to the epidemic, we can only open CCA programmes in schools for the time being. But you will still feel their joy when you walk around the campus after school.
Have fun with knowledge
Beyond the textbook, a vast universe of knowledge awaits everyone.
They can choose to go into the world of literature to find their own 'Hamlet' and to tell some wonderful stories.
Under the epidemic, they can also explore the outside world and follow the guidance of their teachers into the world.
*During the Chinese Ethnic Culture session, Ms. Ji dressed up in ethnic costume and taught the children about the "Dai" culture.
*Children learned about mummies in Mr.Roberts's 'Blast to the Past' session!
To see the world, to see others and to know oneself better. Our programmes also guide each child to be more positive and friendly.
*The children learn about themselves through colour in Ms Gerken's 'Mindful Colouring' and Ms Leung's 'Mindfulness For Children' sessions.
Have fun with peers
At school, we expect every child to have healthy relationships and excellent teamwork skills.
The obstacles tackled together, the work done together, the moments sung together ...... All of these things will help them on their journey.
Having fun with exploration
We have always believed that school is never about giving children 'hard' knowledge, they need to find joy in learning, to learn the joy of exploration and to find their own interests.
They can find the fun in words, they can sweat in their favourite sport, they can create their own art ......
*Ms. Wong's "BMH Student Press Corps" were all enthusiastic in giving their views.
In this process, each child is lively. An interest is always the best teacher.
Although not all of our CCA programmes are running due to the epidemic, we are still doing our best to provide an enriching experience for our children.
At all times, 'holistic' is not just a slogan, it falls in every minute after 3.45pm, in the classrooms, on the lawns and in every corner of the school.
