School education is the sacred cause of cultivating children, and teachers are the mainstay of this cause", and it has always been the unremitting pursuit of our school to attach importance to the professional development of teachers.
In particular, school-based teaching and research is an important way to enhance the professional capacity of teachers and improve the quality of education and teaching in schools.
Under the leadership of Professor Zhang, the Chinese teachers in our school are actively engaged in various teaching and learning activities and are exploring the new dynamics of Chinese teaching in the context of international education, based on the objective rules of subject teaching and the real learning situation and teaching environment.
Inter-school collaboration
On 17 May 2022, Professor Zhang and the Chinese teachers went on a teaching visit to Guanlan Central School.The teachers observed the lessons in Grade 2, Grade 3 and Grade 4 of Prep School and Grade 7 of Senior School respectively and communicated after the lessons.
After returning to school, the teachers who participated in the lesson observation were organised and guided by Professor Zhang to discuss and share their experiences and gains.

It is said that "education is the art of love, while teaching is the art of regret". In the actual teaching, different students' learning conditions, different learning contents, different teacher and student states will add unknown variables to the teaching. It is in these variations, beyond the expected, that the wisdom of teaching and learning ideas creeps in.
With the support of the school and the active guidance of the experts, all teachers in the Chinese team will continue to uphold the original intention of doing "real education", with the teaching mission of "speaking Chinese well, using Chinese characters well, tasting Chinese feelings well and reading Chinese hearts", and work together to forge ahead.
