Last Friday evening saw the BMH campus come to life with our school football and basketball teams playing their first home games against Basis International School. Our Head of PE, Mr Luo, organised a double whammy of sports games to round off an action-packed week.
After a humid afternoon, the weather kindly cooled for our mini athletes as they limbered up and rallied for the all-important challenges. Coached by Mr Luo, the BMH Basketball Team comprises of players from Prep 4 to Prep 6 who practise rigorously during their weekly basketball training sessions. Similarly, the BMH Football Team is trained weekly to the same high level by Coach Roohan.
At the matches on Friday, we welcomed Basis students and coaches with warmth and sportsmanship, showing the BMH Value of Mutual Respect. Both basketball and football teams fought hard, showing their skills, teamwork and passion. The basketball team was victorious after a tough game against their worthy opponents. The football team was just beaten to the post by a very strong Basis squad, however, each player demonstrated determination and talent which will certainly bring success in the future.
Our school teams wore the BMH emblem with pride and are commended for their hard work and sportsmanship. The PE Team is working hard to bring more opportunities for competitive matches to BMH, so watch this space for future fixtures.
