Our courses are a combination of inquiry-based courses and extended courses within the framework of foundational courses.
We strictly follow the national curriculum standards and Shenzhen annual curriculum plan to complete the teaching content. At the same time, we focus on project-based learning, combine school and regional characteristics, and use multiple resources inside and outside the school, fully tap students 'independent initiative, emphasize solving real-life problems, break the boundaries between disciplines, campus and society, and carry out deep learning through interdisciplinary inquiry. According to students' needs, a number of courses such as humanities, health and wellness, club activities, sports, mindfulness education are set up in two forms: limited or non-limited expansion.
Quality literacy and language learning is one of the key features at VPA. We adopt the immersion bilingual teaching system of "one teacher, one language", combined with the literacy program from Columbia University, to effectively cultivate students' ability to read and write independently.
We also encourage students to draw their own story books. By doing so, students can not only practice their language and drawing ability, but also boost their confidence.
We also have EAL lessons for students who need extra support, the lessons include one-on-one lessons and group lessons for students with different needs.

In addition to academic learning, we also care about children's mental health and emotional development. We specially set up wellness class and mindfulness meditation to develop children's ability to correctly deal with emotions from an early age, so that they can handle them through their whole lives.
