Everyone often slows down unconsciously when walking through the classrooms on the ground floor of BMH Pre school, which is probably the slowest place in all of Shenzhen.
Because everyone is always attracted to PreK's adorable children, their tiny arms and legs dancing on the carpet after the teacher, their baby voices reading the alphabet and singing kids' songs along with the teachers, their big bright eyes staring at the various toys in the classroom ...... It's hard not to stop at such a scene.
As the youngest children in the school, they have a large classroom, a small courtyard and four teachers to look after them around the clock, as well as excellent curriculums with English, nature and inquiry lessons... providing lots of activities and great fun for the little kids.
Entering pre school at the age of two, how do these little ones grow up happily at BMH and make their way through the vital 2-6 years old at the school? Find out together!
If we recall the first day of school last September, the cries of PreK children must have been ringing in our ears, they couldn't leave home, they couldn't leave their parents...... Parents were also worried that their children have never been away from them.
But as it turned out, the children's cries did not last for long and the parents' anxieties were put to rest. Our experienced PreK teachers soothe each child's emotions with patient, attentive guidance, gradually established class routines, carefully designed daily activities that immerse children in joy.
If you have the question "Is my child too young to go to pre school?" We believe that the facts speak for themselves. If you send your child to BMH preschool, both your child and you will get the answer.
Before we talk about everything else in the nursery, we would first like to tell you that as a nursery that has been established for almost 8 years, we have a well organised safeguarding system, a mature curriculum, an experienced team of teachers and the whole school is doing its best to watch over each and every child. So even mothers and fathers of two year olds can rest assured that your child will love the pre school, want to come to the pre school and develop fully in the preschool.
The children's journey to pre school starts as soon as they arrive and their whole day is filled with play and learning!
The English programme at BMH is planned from the PreK stage and each PreK class is assigned an expatriate teacher and a bilingual Chinese teacher to provide an immersive English environment for the children. The teachers use songs, role plays and games, which the children are keen to engage in, to develop their speaking and listening skills and their confidence to speak English.
Recently the children at PreK have been learning the sounds of the alphabet, English songs and listening to English picture book stories on a daily basis. They are easily captivated by the teacher's vocal teaching and telling, which they then remember and imitate, so we can often hear the words coming out of the children's mouths, as they spontaneously speak and sing what they are learning.
Children are naturally inquirers from birth, their eyes are full of wonder and imagination about the world and they are self motivated, potential learners. Therefore, in PreK classes, teachers do not reduce the inquiry curriculum because of their age, but rather adapt each inquiry task in a more targeted way, choosing a more suitable approach for younger children, so that they always remain curious.
The current PreK children are in the 'Food' unit of enquiry, where teachers take them to make food salads and juices, learn the names and properties of each ingredient, paint and make food crafts, feel the colours and textures of the ingredients.
The nature programme enables the children to experience everything, so that, apart from extreme weather conditions, they can chase shadows towards the sun on a sunny day, use the power of the wind to fly kites on a cloudy day and feel the simple joy of treading water in a puddle on a rainy day - all unique childhood experiences.
PreK also has subject-specific teachers - an art teacher, a PE teacher and a library teacher - who carefully design activities based on the age-specific, inquiry-based themes and developmental abilities of the Little Learners, so that children receive professional guidance from the age of two.
PreK children grow the fastest in pre school, whether it is learning language, or developing habits and creativity, they can show an incredible speed of growth.
What can a two year old do? At BMH, the possibilities are endless. Every day that we see them grow is filled with happiness and surprises, and we look forward to more children having a carefree and exciting childhood in BMH!
