Creativity, Activity, Service
The International Baccalaureate (IB) program is dedicated to nurturing children's global awareness and developing the thinking still and creativity they need to better navigate this complex world.
Therefore, Creativity, Activity, and Service (CAS) plays a crucial role in the IB program. We encourage students to engage in a range of extracurricular activities alongside their academic studies.
"Creativity" encourages students to unleash their imagination and creativity.
"Activity" aims to promote a healthy lifestyle through sports and physical activities.
"Service" is designed to cultivate students' sense of social responsibility and empathy. From a young age, students learn to contribute to society, share the responsibility of protecting the Earth, and help create a better and more peaceful world.
It's worth noting that two of our sister school students from Hong Kong Victoria Shanghai Academy will be participating in the upcoming Asian Games.
Arie, an 11th-grade student, will participate in the Hong Kong synchronized swimming team. Henry, a 6th-grade student, will represent Hong Kong in international chess competitions and is the youngest athlete in the team!

VPA After-School Activities
This year, we offer students a choice of over 100 extracurricular club activities, catering to various students' interests and needs. Our programs include but are not limited to the following:
STEAM has always been a significant focus at VPA. We have partnered with Tencent and DJI to provide students with courses in AI programming, drone creativity, and more. These programs aim to nurture students' technological skills and ignite their interest in innovation and future technology.
Our sports clubs encompass a wide range of activities, including equestrian sports, sailing, fencing, golf, tennis, soccer, basketball, and flag football. These programs not only promote physical fitness but also enhance essential skills such as leadership, resilience, and teamwork in our students.
Our art clubs offer a diverse range of courses, including painting, embroidery, traditional Chinese painting, calligraphy, and poetry creativity. Students can explore and develop their artistic talents in these classes, allowing them to express their creativity freely.
Academics are equally important at our school, so we offer a variety of academic clubs such as mathematics, English, public speaking, debate, Greek mythology, Sudoku, chess, and more. Students can engage in in-depth learning across various subjects in these clubs, participating in competitions and research projects.
In addition to these courses led by teachers or coaches, we also encourage students in year six and seven to organize clubs and invite younger students to participate.
Students have created various themed clubs based on their interests, including Animal Club, Drama Club, Fashion Art Club, Board Game Club, Photography Club, Super K-Pop Club, and Creative Club.
Student-led clubs provide opportunities for students to take on the roles of organizers and leaders. They are responsible for creating club activity plans, recruiting members, coordinating event schedules, and ensuring the smooth operation of the club.
These processes not only develop students' leadership skills but also cultivate their sense of responsibility, ability to manage activities, and communication skills.
Student-led clubs also encourage interactions and collaboration between students of different grade levels, allowing them to learn from each other and provide mutual assistance. This cross-grade interaction helps build friendships and enhances the cohesion of the school community.
We believe that VPA's after-school club activities will provide students with diverse opportunities to broaden their horizons, stimulate their cognitive, physical, and socio-emotional development, and empower them to navigate the world while truly embodying the IB learner profile attributes:
Inquirer, Thinker
Caring, Balanced
Knowledgeable, Open Minded
Risk taker, Communicator
Reflective and Principled
