Our Passion and Curiosity Spark Meaningful Action: Grade 5 PYP Exhibition at ISNS|2026
On June 4 and 5, our Grade 5 students proudly took center stage for this year’s PYP Exhibition, marking an important milestone in their primary school journey at ISNS. Over two joyful and busy days, students showcased not only what they learned, but who they have become as learners, collaborators, and changemakers.
"How We Express Ourselves"
This year’s central idea, “Our passion and curiosity spark meaningful action,” guided every step of the process.
From the very beginning, students were encouraged to follow their interests and ask meaningful questions. They built their inquiries around issues they genuinely cared about, digging deeper through research, interviews, surveys, and conversations with experts. Their growing curiosity pushed them to look at different perspectives, challenge their own thinking, and consider how they could make a difference.
Student agency was at the heart of this year’s Exhibition. Learners had voice and choice in selecting their topics, designing their displays, and creating interactive experiences for visitors.
They decided how best to communicate their understanding, whether through models, games, digital presentations, artwork, or hands-on activities. The result was a wide range of creative and thoughtful exhibitions that truly reflected each group’s passions and personalities.
On Thursday, we welcomed ISNS Grade 4 students and guests from SWIS for a special daytime performance. That evening, families joined us for performances and classroom visits.
Classrooms were transformed into engaging spaces filled with interactive displays, thoughtful visuals, and confident presenters who were eager to share their journey.
Across the two days, students worked tirelessly to present to members of the ISNS community. They navigated group dynamics, practiced active listening, and strengthened their communication and social skills.
We saw tremendous growth in their Approaches to Learning skills and Learner Profile attributes. Their confidence, resilience, critical thinking, and commitment to taking meaningful action were clear in every conversation.
The Exhibition is a celebration of growth, inquiry, and community. A very special thank you goes to our entire Grade 5 team for their dedication, guidance, and care throughout this process.
We are also deeply grateful to the mentors and parents who supported our students with encouragement, feedback, and time. Your partnership plays an essential role in making this experience so meaningful.
To our Grade 5 students, you were the true stars of the show. Your passion and curiosity have truly sparked meaningful action. We are incredibly proud of all you have accomplished and cannot wait to see where your learning journey takes you next.
