The 2026 Shenzhen Youth (Children) Baseball Championship, co-hosted by Shenzhen Municipal Bureau of Culture, Radio, Television, Tourism and Sports together with Shenzhen Municipal Education Bureau, has come to a successful end. As the city’s top official youth baseball competition, it brought together 22 youth teams from all districts across Shenzhen. Zhang Leduo, a student from our school, competed in Group B (U12 Division). Calm and well-rounded on the field, he delivered outstanding hitting, base-running and defensive performances. Cooperating closely with teammates, his team defeated all rivals and claimed the First Place of Group B, winning the championship gold medal and official award certificate.

Beyond this city-level championship, Zhang Leduo boasts outstanding professional athletic ability. He has passed the official assessment of the Chinese Baseball Association and obtained the 6-Star National Baseball Proficiency Certificate, the highest certification standard for young amateur baseball players. From national standardized skill evaluation to winning the city’s top tournament, the young athlete’s consistent hard work has earned remarkable athletic achievements.

Mathematics, artificial intelligence, sports and innovation are the four core featured disciplines of our school. We attach equal importance to cultivating students’ logical thinking and physical well-being. The teamwork, perseverance and strategic thinking embodied in baseball align perfectly with our educational philosophy of nurturing students via sports and inspiring minds through science and technology. During the tournament, Travis Zhang faced tough opponents fearlessly and fully demonstrated the positive sportsmanship of our students.

Looking Ahead

Going forward, our school will further develop sports education, while continuously launching various competitions covering mathematics, artificial intelligence and innovation. We strive to boost learning through contests and cultivate all-round students, encouraging every child to explore logic, create new ideas and build a strong body, so they can grow and shine in all fields.

近日，2026 年深圳市青少年（儿童）棒球锦标赛圆满落幕。本次赛事由深圳市文化广电旅游体育局、深圳市教育局联合主办，是深圳全市规格最高的青少年棒球官方赛事，汇聚全市各区 22 支少年队伍同台竞技。

我校Travis Zhang同学代表队伍出战棒球乙组（U12 组别），赛场之上他沉着冷静、攻守兼备，凭借扎实的击球、跑垒与防守功底，和队友默契配合、奋勇拼搏，一路过关斩将，最终斩获乙组全市第一名，斩获赛事金牌与官方获奖证书！

不止赛场夺冠，Travis Zhang同学早已夯实过硬的棒球综合实力：此前顺利通过中国棒球协会专业考核，取得全国棒球运动水平六星等级证书（青少年业余球员最高星级认证），是对其长期坚持训练、打磨专业技能的权威认可。从标准化等级测评到市级顶级赛事登顶，少年用日复一日的汗水，交出了一份亮眼的体育成长答卷。
