Mid-Autumn Festival｜A Celebration of Culture, Creativity & Community
From Tradition to Creativity, From Classroom to Community
A celebration where tradition becomes an experience, and every student becomes part of the story.
At SAIS, the Mid-Autumn Festival is more than a celebration. It is an opportunity to encounter culture, connect with one another, and create shared memories. This year, traditional culture came to life across our campus—from lacquer fan making in the classroom to a traditional clothing runway and interactive games shared by our community.
01 · TRADITION & CREATIVITY
Turning Tradition into a Hands-On Experience
Throughout the week, teachers introduced students to the traditional Chinese craft of lacquer fan making. Through colour, movement and hands-on creation, students experienced the beauty and character of this distinctive art form.
Our international teachers joined as well, creating alongside students and experiencing a piece of Chinese culture together. Different backgrounds became a natural starting point for connection.
Culture is not only something we learn about. It is something we can experience.
When tradition enters a real learning experience, it becomes more than knowledge—it becomes something we can participate in, create and share.
02 · A CELEBRATION ON STAGE
From Song to Stage, Every Student Had a Moment
In the afternoon, our Mid-Autumn celebration came to life in the Auditorium. From Early Learning through High School, students stepped onto the stage in traditional clothing, sharing the spirit of the festival through music, movement and self-expression.

Students across the school took the stage with confidence and individuality.

03 · EVERY CLASS, EVERY MOMENT
Every Class Had Its Own Moment in the Spotlight
The runway was more than a display of traditional clothing. It was an experience of confidence, expression and teamwork. Each class stepped onto the stage in its own rhythm, with teachers and students sharing the moment together.
The homeroom teacher led the class onto the stage for a group appearance and photo.
One homeroom teacher walked first, then returned to the class area to guide students through the runway and back to their seats.
The other homeroom teacher arranged students to walk individually or in pairs.
04 · KEEP THE CELEBRATION GOING
After the Runway, the Celebration Continued
Following the runway, our Middle & High School teachers kept the festive spirit going with three interactive games. Mooncakes, riddles and spontaneous creativity brought students together through laughter and teamwork.
A playful team relay that turned a familiar Mid-Autumn element into a light-hearted challenge.
Students put their thinking skills to work while exploring the wit and tradition behind festive riddles.
Drawing, guessing and quick thinking turned into plenty of laughter and moments of collaboration.

以文化为桥，让传统走进校园，也让每一位学生成为文化表达的一部分。
在 SAIS，中秋不仅是一场节日庆祝，也是一段与文化相遇、与彼此连接的共同体验。这个中秋，传统文化从课堂延伸到校园，从一把漆扇，到一场传统服饰走秀，让文化在真实的参与中被看见、被感受，也被重新表达。
01 · TRADITION & CREATIVITY
活动周期间，老师带领学生体验传统漆扇制作。从选色、滴漆到扇面成形，孩子们在动手创作中感受传统工艺的独特魅力。
国际教师也加入其中，与学生一起体验这项中国传统技艺。不同文化背景的人，因为一次共同创作而自然连接。
当传统进入真实的学习情境，文化便不再只是知识，而成为每个人都能够参与、创造与分享的经历。
02 · A CELEBRATION ON STAGE
下午，校园的中秋庆祝活动在 Auditorium 正式展开。传统文化以音乐、语言与服饰的方式，在舞台上呈现出更加丰富而年轻的表达。
传统服饰走秀｜Early Learning → High School
从幼儿学习阶段到高中，每一个年龄段都在舞台上展现自己的风采。
用一张照片，记录属于 SAIS Community 的共同节日记忆。
03 · EVERY CLASS, EVERY MOMENT
走秀并不只是展示服饰，更是一次关于自信、表达与团队协作的共同体验。每个班级按照自己的节奏走上舞台，在掌声与镜头中留下属于这一刻的记忆。
班主任率先走秀，随后回到班级区域，协助学生完成走秀并有序落座。
另一位班主任在台上组织学生，以单人或双人形式依次完成展示。
04 · KEEP THE CELEBRATION GOING
走秀结束后，中学部老师继续组织趣味互动游戏。月饼、灯谜与即兴表达，让节日的氛围从舞台延伸到全体师生的欢笑之中。
在团队协作中完成趣味接力，让熟悉的节日元素变成轻松有趣的互动挑战。
在传统灯谜中动脑、交流，感受中秋文化中的智慧与趣味。
“当我们一起庆祝一种文化，文化也在我们之间建立起新的连接。”
