ISASC Support Services recognises that the academic, social, and emotional needs of students are diverse. The student is at the heart of the integrated student support model. Support services are available to all students, as required. The homeroom and subject teacher are the primary support for students in their care. However, students, parents, and staff are involved in a collaborative process for developing differentiated programs that best support the learning needs of the child in an inclusive class environment. In addition to homeroom and subject teachers, ISA SC Student Support Services consists of Learning Support (LS), English Acquisition support (ELA), Enrichment for Gifted and Talented, Social and Emotional Counselling, Learning Support Teaching Assistants and services provided by a Clinical Psychologist.
爱莎科学城学校有着一支专业的学生支持服务团队,在团队理念中,每一位学生在学术、社会和情感等方面的需求是多元、非单一化的,学生是学校综合支持模式中的核心所在。所有学生均应获得相应与之需求适配的支持服务。主班与学科教师看似是学生支持的主要提供者,实际上,学生支持服务是全校学生、家长与员工共同合作的过程,在这一过程中,学校通过与家校间紧密的合作,为学生提供差异化的定制方案,并致力于创造一个包容的班级环境以最大程度地支持学生的个性化学习需求。除主班教师和学科教师所提供的主要教学外,爱莎科学城的学生支持服务还包括学习支持、英文提升支持、资优教育、社交与情感咨询、学习支持教学服务,以及由校园心智关怀教师提供的相应心理咨询服务。

Ms. Rovanna Bawden
Rovanna comes from Australia and has worked extensively in other big international schools across six countries, most recently at the International School of Macao and the Western Academy of Beijing.
来自澳大利亚的Rovanna曾在6个国家的多所大型国际学校留下了工作足迹,在加入爱莎之前分别在澳门国际学校和北京京西国际学校担任学生服务主任,引入并实施高效的学生个性化支持与分层教学项目。
She has a Master of Education in Inclusive Education and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counselling, and her expertise is in supporting families and students who require individual programming.
Rovanna拥有融合教育硕士学位以及指导和咨询教育硕士学位,擅长针对有特别需要的学生进行个性化的支持。
At ISASC, she will develop the Student Support Team which will grow to include pastrol care, English as an Additional Language, Learning Support and Counselling services for students.

She believes that ISASC will be a school where all students can be successful given the right conditions, and with individualized support, all students can reach and even exceed their full potential.

Rovanna strongly believes in a GROWTH MINDSET philosophy that fully supports the idea that every student has potential. ISASC will develop a comprehensive range of services to meet the requirements of a diverse student population. The Four Pillars of ISA are Knowledge, Sports, Arts and Community Service. While academic excellence and Knowledge are very important the other pillars are key areas where students can show excellence and be successful.
对此,Rovanna将引导团队开发一系列全面且细致的学生服务,以满足不同学生群体的需求。学术、体育、艺术和社区服务组成了学校四大支柱,她认为,学术成就和知识固然重要,但艺术、体育和社区服务也是学生发展和展现能力、取得成功的重要“舞台”。
Rovanna explains further that the model of support will strongly enhance the connection between home and school and families will be encouraged to work closely with the school support team to enhance opportunities for success for their child.

Homeroom / subject teachers / advisors are integral to the support of students. They are the primary contacts for students and work in collaboration with other services as needs arrive.

Learning Support (LS) teachers at ISASC support students with learning differences through collaboration, co-teaching, push-in and pull-out lessons. The LS teachers collaborate with classroom teachers to differentiate the programs to ensure the accommodations and modifications required by the students are implemented.
学习支持(LS)教师通过合作、共同教学、Push-In和Pull-Out教学法来支持有学习差异的学生(注:Push-in是指普通教育教师和特殊教育教师密切协作,共同工作;Pull-Out是指根据学生教育需求,他们可能还需要在普通教育教室之外的另一个环境中接受特殊教育教师的小组或个别指导)。学习支持教师与班级教师合作,对课程内容进行区别和分类,以确保学生所学内容与其需求相适应。

Whole School Psychologist: The school psychologist at ISASC is available to students and families who may require additional advice and guidance on psychological services available in Guangzhou. The school psychologist is also available to assist students with assessment and screening upon referral.

English Acquisition (ELA) Teachers

English Acquisition (ELA) teachers support students with the differentiation of their learning. ELA programs are designed to help ELA students who may need extra support with various tasks in the homeroom and/or single subjects. ELA teachers confer regularly with teachers to discuss a student’s needs and develop strategies to achieve expectations.
英文提升支持(ELA)教师支持学生的差异化/分层学习。英语提升支持项目旨在帮助那些在班级和/或单一科目的各项任务中需要额外支持的英语学习学生。英语提升支持教师通过与学生主班和科任教师定期沟通,了解学生需求,并制定策略以实现预期目标。

Counselling: The counsellors support the academic, social, and emotional needs of students. Counsellors offer support services for students and families as they manage issues of living and studying in an international environment. Counsellors endeavour to promote personal wellbeing, healthy relationships, and the successful balance of academic, extracurricular and community involvement for all students.

Gifted and Talented: Students who are gifted and talented in one specific subject area or across many domains may develop their potential gift and talent at ISASC on an individualised subject schedule that may involve acceleration either in a subject area or as a whole grade. Other opportunities such as after school activities, are also available for students who may wish to develop their skills
天赋和才能支持:在某一特定学科领域或多个领域有天赋和才能的学生,可以通过学校的天赋支持项目,进一步发展其潜在的天赋和才能。除此之外,学校丰富的课后拓展课程也能够为学生提供更多发展专项技能的机会。

Enriched Inclusion: ISASC offers individualised programming and one to one supported learning for a very few students. This enriched level of support is deemed necessary for students who may have diverse needs and require specific modifications and accommodations at school to be successful.

Behavioural Support: Students requiring behavioural support will be supported through a collaborative team approach which may include administrators, grade-level leaders, homeroom teachers, support services teachers and counsellors.
