Our Grade One students at ISNS have just wrapped up an incredible journey exploring the vibrant world of communities!
In their second unit, they delved into the reason why we are all part of – school, neighborhood, family, and city communities.
How G1 Students Carried Out
Community Project?
Every student played a pivotal role in understanding the significance of their membership in these diverse communities. The young minds embarked on an exploration of how communities cater to the needs of their members, whether it's the local supermarket providing essential groceries or nursing homes offering support to the elderly. They gained insights into various services that uphold our communities, including hospitals and police stations.
The grand finale of their project involved creating a balanced community, incorporating goods and services. It wasn't just about structures and resources; the students showcased their exceptional communication and social skills in bringing their imaginary communities to life.
Integrating technology, our students were using Pango Build and Chatterpix. These tools enhanced their exploration of community dynamics, understanding needs and wants, goods, and services. Chatterpix, in particular, was a creative outlet, allowing them to explain a particular good or service within their community projects they made.
We're incredibly proud of our Grade One students for not only grasping the intricacies of communities but also for demonstrating their creativity, teamwork, and technological prowess throughout this enriching journey! #ISNSGradeOne #CommunityUnit#FutureLeaders
